Jago Cottage

Jago Cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Trewartha which is within easy reach of the village of Veryan with its unusual Roundhouses, convenience store and pub. Also nearby is the quintessential Cornish harbour village of Portloe which still has an active fishing fleet. This is big walking country and there is easy access to the Coastal Footpath with some dramatic walks around Nare Head, Portloe and the Dodman which is slightly further away. For those looking for a great beach, Carne beach with its long expanse of sand is only a mile away together with the renowned Nare Hotel.

Jago Cottage is located next door to the owners property and has the benefit of its own patio area with access to the huge garden. Fitted to high standards, Jago Cottage was only developed in 2003 and so offers really comfortable accommodation for your holiday. Jago Cottage offers excellent value for money and is ideally situated in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula.

Ground floor only. Living areas: The front door leads into the spacious kitchen/diner with lounge to one end. The kitchen is well fitted, includes a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. The lounge is comfortably furnished including leather sofas and plenty of reading material for quieter days! There are french windows leading onto the patio and extensive lawned grounds.
Bedrooms: The larger bedroom has a double and single beds. Bedroom two has a double bed.
Bathroom: The family bathroom has an overbath shower with a WC and wash hand basin.

The property has full central heating and wood flooring throughout. Digital TV, Video and a DVD player are provided. There is garden furniture and a BBQ on the patio area. There is ample parking for two large cars.

Heating and electricity are all included. All bed linen and towels are provided. A cot is available for those with smaller children. Bed and breakfast facilities are available (£60 double / £30 single) next door if required for additional guests. Dogs are welcome but regret no smoking is permitted.

The delightful and charming village of Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula is most famous for its nineteenth century thatched Round Houses. There are five in all, two pairs of which stand at each end of the village and another in the centre. They were originally built by a missionary named Reverend Jeremiah Trist for his daughters. In a round house there are no corners where the devil can hide. A crucifix on the top of each one adds extra protection!

Veryan is ideally located for exploring the Roseland Peninsula and is only moments from the spectacular Carne Beach or the dramatic coastline around the historic fishing village of Portloe. Nearby is the lovingly restored Melinsey Mill where you can relax in a charming valley with a delicious Cornish cream tea.
