Customer testimonials

We have had a very good week in Little Thatch in Tregony. Beautiful cottage with every imaginable piece of equipment. Clearly a much loved little cottage.
D Collins, London, Aug 2015
Beautiful well equipped cottage, fantastic location. Cream tea on arrival very thoughtful and appreciated.
Mr Walker, Sep 2013
Lovely cottage with everything you would need. A great area for sight seeing. Weather was kind to us. Would definitely consider coming back. Thanks again for lovely Little Thatch Cottage. Thanks also for the lovely scones and fresh cream on arrival.
Mr Keith , Sep 2013
We've had a lovely week at Little Thatch - very comfortable beds!! It's been a great base for some memorable days out. Thank you. We loved the welcome cream tea too.
Mr Keiller , Sep 2013
Agree with all of the above comments. So nice to stay in a self catering which doesn't expect you to provide your own washing up liquid etc! Loved the conservatory and garden. The Kings Head at Ruan provided us with two wonderful meals. More 'restaurant' food than the Kings Arms in Tregony (good pub food - large portions). Thoroughly recommend Ruan!
Mr Gosling , Sep 2013
Your beautiful 'home from home' lived up to the expectations we had from viewing online. It is a real little gem. We loved our stay in Tregony. Little Thatch is a welcoming place that is tastefully decorated and very well equipped, with everything we needed. Thank you for the delicious cream tea on arrival and for the excellent accommodation - I loved the beds!! Tregony was an ideal base for so many places - we hope to return soon!
Mr Hardy, Aug 2013
Many thanks for a wonderful holiday. What a lovely cottage and comfortable, clean and fantastically well-equipped! We had a lovely week of weather to explore the area and loved the pub in the village, Humphrey's Farm Shop and the fish and chip van outside! Hope to return soon!
Mrs Rothery, Aug 2013
A great location to base oneself for exploring the area. The Cornish cream tea welcome was fantastic. A lovely cottage with lovely facilities, in a lovely setting. Thanks for a great holiday!
Mrs Cox , Aug 2013
Small but GREAT. What a nice cottage! And what a nice welcome with the Cornish cream tea! The house is well equipped and being surrounded by books and CD's and DVD's always feels good. Once of the best places for a holiday we ever had. Thank you!
Mrs Brandt, Aug 2013

Little Thatch is an immaculately presented thatched cottage in the heart of the village of Tregony. Recently renovated, the cottage has a fully fitted modern kitchen, downstairs bathroom, cosy sitting room with coal-effect gas 'wood burner', dining room and large semi-octagonal south facing conservatory, overlooking the country garden. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single bed, making this a romantic hideaway for a couple or a small family.

Little Thatch is the ideal cottage to relax and unwind in. Cosy and beautifully renovated, the cottage has a large bookcase in the dining room, with an excellent selection of books, DVD's and games. The cottage also benefits from a long south facing garden, which is a real sun trap in the summer months, ideal for al fresco dining and evening BBQs.

The village of Tregony in Cornwall is often referrred to as the 'gateway to the Roseland'. The exceptionally wide Fore Street is a relic from the days when this was a busy port and market town with considerable traffic. The port has long since silted up due in part to china clay workings up stream, but Tregony has retained its charm. Tregony has an unusual clock tower on Fore Street and the seventeenth century almshouses which boast an unusual wooden gallery. The site of a twelfth century Norman castle known as ‘Treg-ney’ from which the village got its name is situated on Tregony Hill.

The woods and riverside in the area between here and Ruan Lanihorne are fantastic to explore. The river is a firm favourite with ornithologists the magical Lamorran Woods are alive with bluebells in the spring. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and the city of Truro are only a short drive away from Tregony.
