A spacious and great value cottage located next to the main car park in the middle of St Mawes. Ideally located close to the harbour with all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Catch the ferries to Falmouth from the harbour or relax on one of the nearby beaches. Perfect for those looking for a comfortable and well equipped place to stay in St Mawes at a great value price.
Park Cottage might not have delightful sea views or a beautiful setting, but if you are looking for comfortable, spacious and well kept accommodation for up to 4 people right in the middle of St Mawes, it cannot be beaten for practicality! A large open plan living space occupies the ground floor and the accommodation on the first floor is ideal for either a family or a group of 4 adults. The kitchen is fully fitted and there is an island unit next to the dining table which is particularly useful. During colder weather, there is a great little wood burning stove to keep things really cosy.
Accommodation
Ground Floor: Open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room.
First Floor: Double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom with over bath shower.
External: Very small sitting out area to the side of the property with enough space for an outside table.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fired central heating throughout & the wood burning stove makes it really cosy on the ground floor. There is a TV & DVD player and the property benefits from satellite TV. The kitchen has a separate fridge & freezer, washing machine, toaster, microwave & electric oven with hob. Wifi is available at the property (from the 27th April 2012). The bedrooms have built in wardrobes. There is an iron & board. A cot is available upon request.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, bed linen, towels & bath towels are all included. There is a dedicated parking space alongside the front of the building. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional cost of £15 per dog/ per week. We regret no smoking is permitted.

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.
St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round.
There are a selection of pubs & hotels with restaurants all within walking distance. The Rising Sun with its fabulous sun terrace is no more than a 2 minute walk away. There is a well stocked local Co-operative store, Post Office, chemist and butchers all within a few minutes walk.
Corner CottageSleeps up to 5Location: St Mawes Corner Cottage lies in a quiet location just 3 minutes walk down the hill to the harbour, just behind the centre of St Mawes next to a small Catholic Church (no bells!) some 200 yards from the harbour. The cottage enjoys pretty views over the roof tops to the Percuil River and the National Trust land behind and is a delightful & welcoming place to stay. Dogs are welcome free & 2 PARKING SPACES |
