St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.
St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round.| The weather had been revolting - giving us the perfect excuse to laze around Tideway at every opportunity! Your beautiful house ticks all our boxes and we've loved our lazy week in St Mawes. Now, if you can just sort out the weather......... |

| The Sharps from Worcestershire, Oct 2011 |
| We've had another wonderful week at Tideway and St Mawes. Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed the house, its views and comfort. It is without doubt the best location being yards from the village and beach/sea. It is most definitely a home from home. The sheer peacefulness and quiet is really good for the soul. We have heard owls every night. Till next time! And thank you to the owners. |
| The Pyes from Harrogate, Oct 2011 |

| We spent a lovely week here in St. Mawes. Tideway is a beautiful house, and how nice to find a holiday rental that is truly a very comfortable family home. There is no compromising when you stay at Tideway. The location and views are terrific. Even the weather was kind! Thank you. |

| Fabulous house, amazing views, lots of attention to details. We had amazing weather and made the most of every day - mackerel fishingm crabbing, kayaking, swimming and rockpooling. Hired a boat and paddleboarded at Looe beach. We're going home for a rest! We will be back............ |

| Very nice house, saved the week as only had one day of sunshine. Probably the best situated property in St Mawes.
Hot tub a big hit with the children and the baby seagulls!
Thank you - definitely hope to see Tideway again. |
| The Davies and the Bull family from Kent, Jul 2011 |
| It's been exactly what we had hoped, peaceful, relaxing, a wonderful house with everything you need (except. maybe a sunshade/umbrella as we had fantastic weather!). What can you say about the view - must be one of the best, if not the best in St Mawes. We've loved it and we, too, hope to be back and soon as it has been really fantastic. Beautifully decorated and I loved the kitchen. (Owners' comment - there is now a sunshade!) |
| The Pyes from Harrogate, Jul 2011 |
| Wonderful accommodation for a well earned weekend away from the farms. Excellent facilities – pity we couldn’t use them all due to the very blustery winds and thrilling thunderstorms. |
| Farmers from Devon, May 2011 |

generations of our family had a wonderful stay at your beautiful house,
thankyou. The house has inspired us to refurbish! Grandpa did need a little
help with the technical side of things! Thanks again. |
