An
Bowgy is a Cornish term meaning "the shack” but you can see from the
photos it is rather more than that. It is a recent building, well fitted out
with a private patio area with a BBQ accessed through French windows from the
kitchen/ lounge area. The chalet also has double glazing and oil fired central
heating and so offers a warm and comfortable place to stay all year round.
There is a stream running through the garden that is shared with Roseland
Stores in the same ownership.
Accommodation
Ground Floor: Lounge / kitchen / dining room / shower room / hallway and double bedroom with wardrobe.
Exterior: The private patio area with a BBQ is accessed through French windows from the kitchen / lounge area.
There is also a grassed
rockery area adjacent to the front door.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fired central heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of modern units.
There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle,and fridge / freezer. The lounge area has a TV & DVD player.
Use of the Owner's washing machine by arrangement.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. 1 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional charge per week. Regrettably no smoking is allowed.
A parking space is provided next to the chalet.
A travel cot
and bedding and baby bath can be provided for a baby under 6 months by request
at a small extra charge per week. Covered drying
area for walkers clothes.
General Booking Information
Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday.
Shortbreaks are available during quieter periods.
£100 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.

very comfortable accommodation. It is a perfect base for a couple on the
Roseland Peninsula to walk, ride, sail, fish, swim, cycle and explore. The
superb National Trust sandy beach at Carne is only a short drive away or walk
(1¼ miles) and there are spectacular walks along the coast. Portloe is just 1¼
miles. Portscatho and St Mawes –with its passenger ferry boat to Falmouth are a
few miles away.
Roseland Stores (general groceries and off licence) and Veryan
Post Office is on your doorstep with the New Inn Pub, good food and drink are 100 yards away. The Nare Hotel restaurants at Carne are open to non residents.
Truro is approximately 8 miles via either the King Harry car ferry
or Tressillian. There are various gardens and houses and beaches and art
galleries and museums and the Eden project to visit not far away. Veryan tennis club welcomes visitors see www.veryantennisclub.com .
