Bluebird has been beautifully renovated and is a bright, comfortable one bed, first floor apartment, at the top of the hill, above picturesque St Mawes. A short walk from the harbour which is surrounded by a wonderful variety of boutique hotels, traditional pubs, award winning restaurants, shops and galleries.

A very well appointed and equipped property in a really good location, 5 minutes walk to harbour in St Mawes. Very impressed with the decor and standard of fixtures and fittings as well as high level of equipment. Would highly recommend to any couple wanting to stay in one of the most beautifully scenic areas of the UK.

The photos do not do it justice - a clean and well appointed apartment ideally placed for the roseland peninsula. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay immensely. Note that we were a couple without children and this is not ideal for kids as there are stairs to reach the 1st floor apartment. We will be back!

This apartment is in the top order suitable for a couple staying in this part of Cornwall for a week. All the facilities required are provided. The rooms are of modern appearance and extremely clean. Good parking facilities. Being upstairs, be prepared to use a bit of muscle when bringing in the luggage! Neighbourhood part of an estate which is quiet and orderly, so peaceful at night. Road almost opposite Polvarth Lane is short cut to the harbour, but steep climb back.

Couldn't fault the accommodation, very clean and well equipped; coffee, tea & milk provided on arrival. Steep hill to village, 5 minutes down, 10 minutes up! No Wi Fi but was a nice break from it. St Mawes is an unspoilt harbour, very pretty, has all amenities required.

We had a very pleasant stage in this lovely little cottage. St Mawes beach and shops were just two minutes walk away, and the bus stop was just a 1 minute walk away, so very conveniently located! The cottage itself was very cosy. It had all the essentials in it for a comfortable stay, and more! We would definitely stay here again. Couldn't have asked for a better holiday!

Bluebird is a first floor apartment and has been fully refurbished through the winter of 2015/16 and is beautifully appointed with a bright airy feel, plenty of clever features to make the most of space and large windows with sea glimpses both to the east over the headland to Gerrans Bay and to the west towards St Mawes Bay. It is located at the top of the village and so is only a short walk from the harbour but it is up a steep hill. There is a small terraced area to the front of the property and it comes complete with its own parking for 2 cars. There is also a dedicated outside shed to the rear of the property that would be ideal for storing bikes.

St Mawes is one of Cornwalls most desirable holiday destinations and the stunning harbour surrounded by lovely local shops, restaurants, bars and hotels is a constant bustle of vibrancy during the season. There is a never ending variety of boating to keep the view changing, kayaks paddling out of the harbour, regular ferry passenger services to Falmouth and other destinations up the Fal estuary, the constant bustle of sailing boats both large and small and shipping movements further out to sea will keep all amused. During the winter it is a quiet, peaceful village that rarely sees frosts or snow.

Accommodation
Ground floor: Entrance hall with storage cupboard and stairs leading to;
First Floor: Stairs open onto landing with doors leading to; open plan, double aspect lounge diner with electric fire, thermostatically controlled electric radiators, dining table and chairs and a comfortable sofa and chairs, Sea glimpses to the front of the property. Kitchen with view to the rear of the property and fully fitted units. Bathroom with P shaped bath with shower over, heated towel rail, WC and wash hand basin. Cupboard enclosing washing machine. Bedroom with south facing views over St Mawes and sea glimpses, storage and a double bed.
Exterior: Small terrace to the front of the property, dedicated parking area for up to 2 cars and a store room to the rear of the property for storage of bikes etc. There is also a small private lawned area to the rear of the property. There is a table and four chairs which can be used either at the front or at the rear of the property.

Facilities & Services
Heating is via electric thermostatically controlled radiators throughout and an electric convection fireplace in the living area. There is a flatscreen TV with freeview and DVD player in the lounge. The fully fitted kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, compact fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a washing machine in the cupboard on the landing. There is an iron and ironing board.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. The property has its own dedicated parking area for up to 2 cars. There is a shed to the side of the property where you may store bicycles etc. We regret that dogs are not permitted and no smoking is allowed. WiFi is not available yet! Babes in arms are welcome at Bluebird, but do please bring your own cot.

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.

St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round. There is a selection of pubs & hotels with restaurants (including the renowned Tresanton Hotel) all within easy walking distance. There is a range of shops all within a few minutes’ walk including a Cooperative store, Post Office, chemist, butcher, baker and art & clothes shops. The village also has a doctor’s surgery and a dentist’s surgery.
