Customer testimonials

We would like to say thank you for the lovely holiday we enjoyed at Number Eleven. With three couples and a baby sharing we had almost everything we could have wanted. We appreciated the cream tea and the flowers to welcome us. Please could you pass our thanks on to the owners.

F&J Prosser, Oct 2014
Just to say we had a great time at Number Eleven. Really appreciated the welcome flowers, ideal location and even the weather played ball!
M Clark, Aug 2014
House was lovely & well kitted out. Fantastic view over the estuary from sitting room on first floor. Plenty of movement on the water to keep you interested .St Mawes itself was a peaceful & pretty village. Good walking area - can take ferries to access different peninsulas. Useful village shop, PO and chemist. A number of castle fort & museum in Falmouth worth a visit.
Anon, Jun 2013
We found the property very good indeed. It was clean, tidy, well presented, comfortable, well equipped, fantastic location and views. We are keen to visit again.
M Gillett, Jun 2013
We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Number Eleven. The cottage/Victorian villa lived up to all expectations. It was extremely clean, fresh, comfortable & very stylish, a delight to return to at the end of the day.The balcony allowed us to "sit out" whenever the weather allowed without having to go to the beach, also heavenly for me to sit out late at night listening to the waves gently lapping on the rocks below.
R Weaver, Sep 2012
Number Eleven was splendid and we would certainly book the house again. It is probably the best we have rented in St Mawes so far. We had a great holiday, loved the house with its upstairs living room and the little terrace really makes it stand apart from many other properties along The Quay.
Mrs Keyworth , Sep 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Number Eleven which was a delightful house. We found the house very comfortable and much enjoyed St. Mawes.
C Saunders, Aug 2012
Another superb holiday in St Mawes. We really liked Number Eleven - very luxurious with a very high spec. finish and lots of space. There were some thoughtful touches such as soaps in the bathrooms and plenty of washing up liquid, loo roll etc. The flowers and cream tea were much appreciated. There was a useful sheet regarding the house and leaflets on the area. Our son really liked the attic room and the games and books were most appreciated. We loved being able to look out at all the happenings on the water from the first floor lounge which was lovely and sunny all morning. Thanks again!
Mrs Searle, Apr 2012

Number Eleven is but a few paces from the main village quay right in the heart of St Mawes with restaurants, bars, shops and beaches on the doorstep. The views are stunning from all of the living areas and the owners have spared no expense to produce an exceptionally luxurious home for the perfect family holiday or a stress free, out of season break for a couple.

Due to the proximity of the St Mawes bakery to No 11, light sleepers should note there can occasionally be some early morning noise as the fresh bread and pasties are taken to the the shop at the harbour.

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.

St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round. There is a selection of pubs & hotels with restaurants (including the renowned Tresanton Hotel) all within easy walking distance. There is a range of shops all within a few minutes’ walk including a well-stocked Cooperative store, Post Office, chemist, butchers, and art, book and clothes shops. The village also has a doctor’s surgery and a dentist’s surgery.
