Kevin from Honiton stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in June
We had a lovely relaxing week in the cottage. The only holiday cottage on a genuine working farm, the position over looks rolling farmland. Set in a quiet position yet accessible to most of the Roseland and close enough to the beach to walk (about 2 miles). The cottage has light and airy rooms with lots of character with all the equipment we required and much more besides. Clare and the family were really helpful, giving us some great suggestions for places to visit and food. Overall highly recommended.

Brian from Nottingham stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in May
From watching the lambs frolicking, to hearing the Wren first thing in the morning and seeing the Barn owl at night.Wonderful stay in a well appointed place with comfortable large beds. Couldn't wish for anything more. Except the weather could have behaved itself for Mid May. Will remember the pink campion and bluebells.

Perfect for our group of 5 adults. Ideal location for walking the banks of all of the estuaries. Fairly flat, terain ,we had a 90 year old with us. Wild flowers in abundance. I cannot think of anything I would wish to change.

Elaine from Lichfield stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in April
Stayed here for Easter break. The booking process was easy with well informed and helpful staff at Cornwall Cottages. On arrival at Pippin Cottage it was spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were all very attractive. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need for 6 people. On the table the owners had left scones, cream and jam for us as well as a freshly made loaf of bread. The garden area was perfect with sheep and lambs the other side of the fence and a BBQ available for use in the shed. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and if we are in the area again we look forward to returning. Many thanks.

Barry from Brentwood stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in September
One of the best cottages we've ever stayed at. Everything you need is supplied, including a really well equipped kitchen. Quiet and peaceful location and great for exploring the Roseland. Owners friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. A bottle of wine, milk and homemade scones and flapjacks together with clotted cream and jam on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely be booking a another stay.

Karen from Maidstone stayed at Pippin Cottage for 5 nights in September
We loved staying at Pippin Cottage, a home-from-home experience. From the warm welcome, to the warm scones, bread and flapjacks. The cottage was perfect for our needs, with large, light and airy rooms. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated throughout. The farmhouse kitchen diner was a great social space, with everything you need (even a dishwasher). Cupboards stocked with cleaning materials and paraphernalia - foil, tea towels, hand soap and so on. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also stocked with towels, toilet rolls, air freshner, soap. Lastly, the lounge has a collection of books, games, DVDs, and toys that will keep most families entertained. The French doors in the lounge lead to a private, secure garden with far reaching views leaving no doubt that you're in rural Cornwall. Our thanks to Clare for being an outstanding host.

Alexandra from London stayed at Pippin Cottage for 3 nights in August
We had a very nice time in Pippin Cottage. We arrived very late in the night and it wasn't a problem for the owner so it was a good point because we took our time on the road. We had very good home-made biscuits and bread, a bottle of milk and wine that we really enjoyed. The cottage has everything you need, you feel like at home. The decoration is really lovely and it's really nice to have a garden where you can do a barbecue.

Very homely, cosy cottage. Pippin was a great getaway for three generations. The lit fire on arrival and cakes & scones were an unexpected bonus. Clare & James were welcoming and always available if we needed them. In fact Clare went beyond the call of duty by posting us back a lost piece of jigsaw puzzle!

Richard from Barrow Upon Soar stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in September
We have stayed in many cottages over the years, and believe this is the best. From a practical point of view, the cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It's position is ideal if you want a quiet time (naturally on the Roseland), situated down a farm drive (no passing traffic), and the large self enclosed rear garden, facing out to fields, was ideal for our son to burn off some energy. You could also not ask for a more hospitable owner than Claire and James who also own and run the farm. On arrival in the cottage was home made bread and jam, milk, tea & coffee and even scones, clotted cream and a bottle of wine! We were warmly welcomed and introduced to the very friendly Myrtl (Border Terrier), but they were not intrusive through our stay. However, they did find us and invite us and our tractor mad three year old boy to see the combine working hard on the last harvesting of the year, which he loved. As a practical point of view, kitchen is fabulous with lots of space to cook, toys for our son to enjoy, very spacious and relaxing. All in all, this was a fantastic cottage with great owners, and I would thoroughly recommend it (although sometimes I thought we should keep this as a 'well kept secret').

Guest from Sevenoaks stayed at Pippin Cottage for 7 nights in July
Pippin Cottage was clean and comfortable and suited our family consisting of 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The outside space was perfect for us all. There wasn't really anything we would change apart from the weather which was a mixed bag. We all loved the cottage and would recommend it to others and would try to book again if coming to this part of Cornwall. We particularly liked the kitchen with the large table and plenty of room around it and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and provided a delicious tea on arrival. The cottage was a short drive to the King Harry Ferry, lovely beaches, Falmouth and Truro. A big thumbs up from all of us.

Myself wife and son all enjoyed our stay at Pippin Cottage. We found it very clean and the people who let the cottage out very helpful at all times. The area around the cottage is excellent for walking and close to the sea,but the nearest cove is well over a mile away if not more. The cottage itself is a very nice and peaceful place to stay with very helpful owners.

We've had a lovely stay here at Pippin Cottage. The house is wicked and the BBQ isn't bad when the lads aren't in charge. So, once we sussed the BBQ everyone did eat it! Thanks, Claire and James, this was a perfect place for a Wales/NZ reunion. Tip to all future guests - St Mawes is lovely but allow at least an hour for fish and chips!! Thank you again.

We've had a fantastic stay at Pippin Cottage. It is a wonderfully relaxing setting and the scones, biscuits and bread on arrival were delicious! The walk to Pendower Beach from the cottage was a good recommendation and I enjoyed my swims in the sea. The church at St Just in Roseland was such a relaxing visit and we all loved the gardens at Heligan. Thank you for a great holiday and for thinking of all our needs.
Yes, thank you for such a beautiful cottage which is so well-equipped. We have all loved our stay here and would hope to visit again.

Pippin Cottage is beautiful, light and airy and garden lovely and safe for the children. Everything is thought of for the children and my 13 year old re-lived his early youth with the lego. Many thanks. Highly recommend.
The Keith Family, Scotland, Jul 2015
We all loved our stay at Pippin Cottage and would recommend it to anyone. It's a lovely setting and the welcoming was very pleasant. We visited most of Cornwall on our stay including Newquay, Eden Project, Lands End, Flambards, St Ives and Porthcurnick beach and the Hidden Hut. All the beaches and harbours around the area are stunning! Thank you to Clare and family.
The Diment family, Jul 2015
Had a lovely welcoming stay in Pippin Cottage. Spacious, comfortable and perfect for our family. King Harry Ferry, Trelissick, Truro, Carne Beach and Hub Box got the thumbs up from our teenagers. Thank you to Clare for your delicious bread and tea on arrival. Would love to come again some time.
The Turner family, Jul 2015
An amazing place that makes the long journey worthwhile. The fresh scones and flapjacks, bottle of wine in the fridge just made the start of our holiday so much more special. To sit outside and absorb the silence once the kids were asleep made a truly relaxing break. A place to recommend. Thank you for your hospitality, we did feel at home.

Treworthal is in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula one of Cornwall's finest locations, with magnificent coastal walks from coves to headlands, stunning views of the Carrick Roads, quiet peaceful creeks, amazing churches, St Mawes Castle, beaches, boating, quaint traditional fishing ports including St Mawes and Portscatho, although tourism is now the main local industry.

Portscatho is a lovely place for a holiday. There are miles of coastal and countryside footpaths to explore, particularly along St Anthony's Head. Portscatho was once a busy fishing harbour, but now it has become a haven for artists due to the striking light which is particularly good in the morning sun. More than anything, Portscatho is a relaxing place. The beaches such as Porthcurnick, Towan and
Porthbeor are simply idyllic and these are only minutes from the village. With a superb local butchers shop, 2 great little pubs and a well-stocked local store, Portscatho and Gerrans are a lovely place to spend a holiday.

There are some stunning locations to eat on the Roseland including the Michelin starred Driftwood restaurant on the way down to Rosevine beach where the chef, Chris Eden, and his team deliver a truly special experience, you will obviously need to book this one early. There is also the Hidden Hut located above the field at Rosevine with its eclectic menus, convivial atmosphere, bring your own booze and social media driven events list! (Best find them on Facebook to see what is on!) The Hidden Hut has received rave reviews from the local and national press. Slightly further afield are the Nare Hotel and Quarterdeck with fine dining and dramatic views across Gerrans Bay, the world renowned Tresanton Hotel in St Mawes or the newly refurbished Idle Rocks Hotel. On top of this list there are some excellent country pubs in all of the local villages supporting Cornish produce and local beers.

St Mawes is one of the finest waterside villages in Cornwall. Situated overlooking an idyllic bay on the eastern side of the famous Falmouth Estuary, St Mawes has one of the mildest climates in Britain due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream. The sea is at the heart of the village and has helped to shape St Mawes from the little fishing village to the fashionable holiday destination that is so popular with visitors. A mecca for boating enthusiasts, St Mawes is a particularly popular sailing centre. Weekly club racing, village regattas and larger events are commonplace on the superb waters of the bay all through the summer.

St Mawes has so much to offer the visitor. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax and watch the world go by. The little Place Ferry takes visitors to explore St Anthony's Head or there are regular ferries to Falmouth. Being situated on the seafront, the village is also known for the restaurants and pubs that serve superb fish and shellfish dishes all year round.
