Christopher from London stayed at Toadstools for 7 nights in June
We had a lovely stay at Toadstools which is a beautiful traditional cottage well located in the heart of Roseland. The cottage was well equipped and is clearly a cherished family home - it was great that we didn't have to go out and buy salt and pepper etc ! The cottage garden was delightful and a haven for the local birds. Being rural Cornwall the internet is a bit erratic. A few logs for the log burner would have been nice - the weather in June can be very changeable ! Overall highly recommended.

Julie from Anstey stayed at Toadstools for 3 nights in April
Great for its quietness, a little far out to places but not a proble with a car. Cannot complain about anything at all. Only slight drama we were faced with, was a kitchen chair breaking with a family member on it to which we have informed the owners about and placed into the utiity outhouse. Other than that, very comfortable, quaint and peaceful.

Nicholas from St. Albans stayed at Toadstools for 4 nights in March
There were 6 of us in total staying at the Toatstools including two young children (1 and 4) and a dog. We had use of the annexe too which was great so we didn't feel as though we were all cramped - and the rest of the party didn't need to hear the children in early morning. Absolutely fantastic place! You are hidden away on a small country lane close to farming fields but within a 10min drive of shops/beach/small towns. The beautiful cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay for a large family, from cooking wholesome food in the kitchen to keeping entertained if weather is bad and you have no choice but to stay in. We were actually looking forward to returning home every day to sit by the log burning fire with a nice cup of hot choc. The area is so picturesque and would definitely be returning soon in the future. As we did little research before leaving we weren't aware most places were closed being out of season and pubs shut at two till the evening and stop serving food after a certain time. We were caught out a few times with hungry kids but we'll certainly plan ahead for next time. St Mawes (within 15 min drive) is so beautiful. Wish we had more time to explore the whole area. Next time we will book for longer and definitely consider Toadstools a place to stay. Thank you for giving us a lovely place to stay for our first trip to Cornwall and for providing the information to show what was around.

Rebecca from Rochester stayed at Toadstools for 7 nights in March
Overall the stay was lovely, perfect garden for the dogs. Location is a bit out of the way but once you get your bearings it's all good. During winter times we would suggest that having a few logs and kindles supplied for the first night for guest because the temp drops at night and despite the heating being on the chill in the air is still noticeable. There was prompt service from Gail, when the heating did go for 24 hours and we were grateful for that. We will be recommending the cottage to friends and hope to visit again maybe later in the year.

Teresa from near Hastings stayed at Toadstools for 4 nights in February
A lovely comfy cottage with everything you needed and high class fixtures and fittings. Comfy beds with beautiful White Company and Suzie Watson bedlinens and a beautifully fitted kitchen and bathroom. The garden was beautiful (even in February) and is safe and enclosed for our dogs. The stove fire in the sitting room was difficult to keep alight and needs new seals around the doors. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Could live there and will definitely return.

Jane from Wilderswil stayed at Toadstools for 21 nights in October
We booked 9 months ago and were looking forward to your holiday the whole summer. We travel with 2 dogs, so one criteria is a well fenced-in garden. We like to have a house to ourselves and preferably somewhere in the countryside. Toadstools provided all this and more. It is cosy, clean, very comfortable beds and as mentioned, that garden is great. The location in Treworga was ideal for us, as we could fan out to many different places without having to put too many miles in. All in all, great place, great stay, great area!

Harry from Marlborough stayed at Toadstools for 7 nights in June
We throughly enjoyed our holiday on the Roseland and we're already panning our holiday there next year. Toadstools is a lovely cottage with everything you could need. The bed in the main bedroom was the comfiest we've ever slept in on holiday. The garden is perfect for young children and dogs as its fully enclosed. It is full of flowers and perfect for sitting out in to enjoy the evening sun. The annex is a great addition although we didn't use it. The cottage is in a good location for the beaches and pubs etc. The dog walking is not great from the cottage with out getting in the car due to complete lack of footpaths in the area.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely part of Cornwall. Comfortable, spacious and well thought out, warm and cosy. It smelt lovely when we arrived. For me it was quite an inspiration, everything I love, gorgeous Susie Watson curtains, Garden Trading items the Smeg fridge and distressed furniture. Unfortunately, the car broke down on Saturday, but having such a lovely place to stay in compensated. I could have stayed another week, and usually I am ready to go home after a week. I really could live here, I was quite sad to leave. A dream come true.

Guest from Sherston stayed at Toadstools for 3 nights in October
We found the cottage easily. Directions were helpful. First impressions were spoiled by front steps covered with damp leaves and a smell of curry in the kitchen. On closer inspection we noted that the cooker hood / extractor is quite old and clogged. Probably should be replaced . Kitchen tap had been leaking for some time. Hence black staining on work surface. The house has a feel of a well loved and lived in home, which it obviously is. We enjoyed the multi fuel stove and the warmth of the sitting room. The main bedroom was delightful and we slept well during our stay. Bathroom well serviced , plenty of hot water. Very quiet hamlet. Within reach of all the good places to visit. We ate out for all lunches and dinners. Found local pubs and hotels very welcoming. Maps and info provided by owners very useful. Without wishing to be over critical , if it were our home we would renew some of the carpets , sand the kitchen table and fill the cracks...de clutter generally in order to let it. For all that we enjoyed our stay on the Roseland Peninsular !

A very comfortable cottage. Well furnished, beautiful fabrics but in need of a professional clean to bring it back to perfection. Beds very luxurious with top grade bedding. Secure, secluded and quiet garden. Kitchen well catered for but in need of a coat of paint. Chairs in lounge a little uncomfortable. We were only two.........not sure would be suitable for six people!!!...................but an absolute must for any dog!!!!

Toadstools is a very charming cottage with a lovely garden. The Roseland area is very beautiful and peaceful - much quieter than other parts of Cornwall. Everyone we met was very friendly. We did run out of gas (a gas bottle) for the hob one day but the company resolved this quickly.

Toadstools is a lovely cottage with a fabulous garden and patio. Facilities were very good and the whole property well turned out and maintained. Location might be an issue for some as you literally have to use your car to get anywhere unless you want to go for evening walks across the cornfields.

This is a lovely cottage in a very central location close to beaches. The garden was delightful which we were able to enjoy because the weather was great. The annex was very nicely done. However, we did feel it was a bit too 'shabby chic' in some respects. The kitchen sink area would benefit from a draining board. The chairs in the lounge were uncomfortable and the cushions needed replacing. The cottage did smell a little 'doggy' and damp when we first arrived. The cupboards in the bedroom smelt too damp to use. In the master bedroom the cupboard was being dried out when we arrived with a dehumidifier. The patio could have done with a sweep and we could not find a brush to do this. Given all this, we do feel the price was on the high side as we expected a little more luxury for the money.

Lovely cottage and garden in a quiet hamlet within ten minutes of beautiful beaches and the sea. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and spacious larder. Excellent wi-fi which is great as little, if any mobile signal. Great pub at Ruan Lanihorne - The Kings Head. The Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick beach and The Quarterdeck at Nare Head/Carne beach worth a visit. Curgurrell farm shop five minutes away sells amazing fresh fish, crab, lobster and fresh veg. Great stay.

A truly enchanting cottage- homely, comfortable and with lovely personal touches. A real home from home. The garden is the real jewel in the crown, however. Just beautiful and a really lovely place to relax after a day exploring the stunning coastline of the Roseland Peninsula. And for those who like to holiday with their four legged friends; it's perfect too! Lovely sandy beaches a 10min drive away for dogs who like to run free and feel the wind in their fur. And the endless coastal paths should be enough to tire any dog out. And it's all on your doorstep. You won't regret booking a holiday at Toadstools- and your dog will love you even more for it!

We enjoyed a lovely week at toadstools with mostly good weather. We focused our explorations largely in the Roseland peninsula, although we did venture out to St Ives and the Minack Theatre. We spent my birthday having a picnic at St Just and had dinner at the Driftwood Hotel. All in all, a lovely week in a special cottage.

A beautiful cottage with a charming, pretty and private garden, we felt very at home here, there are lots of personal touches and the location is excellent for getting around the Roseland. When we arrived there was a problem with the boiler and we didn't have any heating or hot water but housekeeping were extremely helpful and it was sorted the same day that we reported it. If we had any criticisms and this is being very picky, the bathroom isn't up to the standard of the rest of the property and it would have been good to have instructions on the woodburner and other appliances. The cottage company were extremely efficient, sending us lots of local information before we left home.

What a lovely cottage in a great location. Visits to St Mawes, the ferry to Falmouth, Eden Project, Carne Beach and Portscatho to name but a few. The Roseland Inn in Philleigh is well worth a visit. Time has gone far too quickly. Thank you!

Spectacular weather, 85 degrees sitting on Portscatho Beach. Evening BBQ on Pendowr Beach was memorable, low tide, sparkling lights out at sea and so warm. Superb ferry trips and pub lunches especially Flushing and Malpas. What a wonderful week.

Toadstools is a beautiful cottage and we have very much enjoyed using it as our base to explore this part of Cornwall - a fantastic part of the world. We've enjoyed great weather and some lovely food. The King's Head and the Nare Hotel our favourites. We will miss Portloe, crab and the Cornish sparkly saved at the King's Head!

We found the cottage very comfortable and the garden was perfect for our 6 month old puppy and two children. We loved the horse riding at Gwithian beach and Trelissick Gardens, Watergate Bay, Helford Passage, Mylor Bridge, Carne and Pendowr Beaches and St Mawes. We feel as though we've only skimmed the surface, there's so much to do here. We'll definitely be back!

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday. Toadstools is a lovely cottage, a real home from home in a very tranquil spot. As we had good weather we made full use of the patio and garden. I would like to thank you for providing the guide to the Roseland, it was extremely useful and really helped us to get the most out of the holiday. We will certainly use your company again next time we visit Cornwall.

A really fantastic fortnight. Weather wonderful, cottage & garden perfect and the whole peninsular magical. Coastal and creek walks were great, beaches (especially Porthbeor) fabulous. All in all, everything we could hope for and more.

What a lovely place to call "home" while we visit Cornwall. This little cottage has been very nice to come back to after our days out, either big (like the Eden Project) or small (like our visits to the beaches). The Kings Head was very good and Carne Beach wonderful - but coming home and reading books or playing Cluedo to the tick of the living room clock made the days seem very relaxing indeed.

Wonderful weather, glorious walks, excellent shopping in Falmouth. The house and garden are looking lovely, a very comfy house to stay in. Thank you.
