Cobblers Cottage is set right in the heart of old St Mawes, up a narrow lane literally a stone's throw from St Mawes Harbour. Superbly presented by the owners, the cottage offers very comfortable accommodation for up to three adults or a small family of four. You could not be in a more central location in St Mawes and the cottage is only some 50 yards to the Quay from which ferries leave for Falmouth, Truro and Place. It is a small old traditional village cottage, full of character but, nevertheless, quite compact in places.

The cottage benefits from a very private patio garden which is a lovely peaceful place to relax with a book. It is only a short level walk to either Tavern or Summers Beach or there is even access to a small shingle beach which is a real sun trap within a one minute walk from the cottage door.

Please note that the cottage is right in the heart of the village, which is really convenient, but it does mean that occasionally it can be busy and at times noisy from nearby activities and village events. The lane is also well used by pedestrians and the village butcher shop and the residents' entrance to the St Mawes Hotel is immediately opposite the cottage.

Ground Floor: The entrance is through the private patio area and the ground floor comprises an open plan lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of equipment, including a Nespresso machine and is finished with a granite worktop. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, easy chair and there is a small dining table. As shown in the photos, there are gaps between the wooden stairs.
First Floor: There is a double bedroom with 5' bed, Simba Hybrid pro mattress and a second bedroom with a single "Captains Bed" that has a pull out bed beneath which is suitable for children - available upon request ONLY. The bathroom is presented with limestone tiling and has the benefit of a powerful shower over the bath.
Exterior: A private enclosed patio area. BBQ with tools but you will need to provide your own charcoal.

Facilities & Services
The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an oven, hob, a microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge area has a Smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV. There is Superfast broadband at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.

Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Regrettably there is no parking at Cobblers although there are public car parks nearby. Up to two well behaved small dogs (spaniels or smaller please) will be permitted at a small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. No smoking. Stair gate fixed at the bottom of stairs. On request there is also a stair gate for the top of the stairs.

Unfortunately Cobblers Cottage is not suitable for children under 8 years old.

Excellent cottage right in the centre of St Mawes. Fully equipped kitchen for those wanting to cook, otherwise plenty of places to eat & drink within walking distance to suit every budget. Exceptional quality bedding & very comfy bed. Parking is expensive but we would advise a weekly ticket be purchased from the Information centre The perfect place for visiting all the surrounding areas & unwind in beautiful Cornwall

This was our second stay at Cobblers Cottage and it was just as delightful as we remembered from 2010. It's position very close to the harbour is perfect and it provides all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the tasty home-made treats provided by Housekeepers Melanie and Alan who were also most helpful with local information. We highly recommend this property for an enjoyable holiday. It provides a great base to explore this beautiful area of Cornwall

Right in the heart of the village. Very comfy with all the home from home facilities and equipment you need. Outdoor space was perfect for the dogs

We had a lovely week at Cobblers cottage overall we was very happy with the cottage. We did have a problem with the storage heater being roasting hot but The property manager came round and sorted it for us, great service. We like to open a window in the bedroom at night but these are painted shut so not able to would be a good idea to sort this. Cleaning was ok but I think could be better the bathroom sink was blocked and not running away properly and the windows are filthy. Good quality bed linen and towels but probably could do with a couple more left out! St mawes is a great location for a holiday with everything you need. We loved the victory Inn staff very friendly and food good.

We love this cottage. 2nd time staying here. Superb location right in the heart of St Mawes and very nicely presented. Wonderful kitchen equipment etc. Homemade little treats were a lovely touch on arrival.

Steven Corbett

Well equipped, good location in centre of village near restaurants and stones throw(literally) from harbour with ferry trips shops and bars.

This was my 4th stay at Cobblers, I love it so much. Small but absolutely perfectly formed! Would love it even more if there was a mirror in main bedroom and a second pillow on all beds but love the little touches like the flowers, biscuits and milk, so kind. Thank you.

We were very pleased with the accommodation in general. After renting many holiday properties this was the first time we received a text that advise that the cottage was now available to us - some 90 minutes ahead of the official time. Very useful. Disappointing that the TV was an old very small screen model. Difficult to read captions when seated on the sofa. In this day and age a larger smart TV is to be expected. The 5' bed effectively fills the bedroom making access down the sides difficult. Maybe a 4'6" bed would be better. The dining equipment provided was poor. For a 2/3 person property there were some 18 or so mugs, but only two wine glasses, one beer glass, and the cutlery was a total mixed of bits and pieces none of which matched. Likewise the two sizes of plates were all white but after that the shapes differed greatly. Disappointing.

Lovely little cottage in the heart of St Mawes. Were able to fetch fresh bread each day. Fabulous weather too while we were there. Near all restaurants. Although it sleeps 4 it’s not 4 adults we were 3 adults and that was enough. If you like 2 pillows you need to take 1 of your own. Bathroom could do with an update. Well worth the money.

St Mawes is an incredibly friendly town and Cobblers Cottage is right at the heart of it. We had considered other houses to rent in the town as we were a bit concerned about parking but it was very easy to stop on the seafront and unload before parking in the car park which had loads of space. The cottage is very well equipped and spotless. It is a typical small Cornwall cottage but laid out well so you don’t feel too cramped. The courtyard is pretty and very useful for drying stuff. You will be woken up by cheery conversation every morning as the butcher’s shop opposite is a bit of a community hub. Very close to lots of restaurants, bakery, boat/kayak/paddle board hire. Good restaurants (Watch House, Tresanto, St Mawes Hotel) but you need to book ahead. Place Ferry and pasty picnic a bit of a highlight. Great playground at the back of the car park. Kayak hire and jumping off the harbour wall favoured by more active members of the party.

We returned for our second stay this year to Cobblers Cottage. We settled back in as if we had never been away and so did the dogs! We love everything about Cobblers Cottage, it's charm and location and we hope to return again next year.

Lovely stay at cobblers cottage. Everything very good quality and very clean. No Internet and no phone signal in cottage but ok around the harbour. Make use of mussel cards. We saved £40 in one week popping over to Falmouth and a trip to trelissick and using The King Harry ferry. Two beaches with diving platforms both very safe for swimming. St Mawes is idyllic!

A nice cottage in a really convenient location right next to the harbour. We were warned that it might be noisy being right opposite a hotel entrance but this was no issue at all and we had a great stay. Well equipped and comfortable. Having no wifi in a place with very poor mobile reception was the only issue.

Great place to stay. Very central which is what we were looking for. Great secure courtyard for barbecue and al fresco dining. Would certainly recommend.

Cobblers Cottage is incredibly convenient to the harbour and it was a fantastic base from which to explore the town. Lovely stay in a cute cottage and we will return!

A nice location, for the following, walks, local shops, FalRiver trips, very expensive to eat in the local pubs, hotels & Watch House for what you received. Car parking is good however, their is no mention by Cornwell Cottages that you need to have £25 in cash either £1, £2 pounds coins or smaller denomination as the machine dose not accept credit cards, or a telephone number to make the necessary payment for a weeks stay. Not good!. The owner needs to be advised that the bath has a leek when you shower, it drips through the floor boards in the kitchen area it's been their for some time as the floor joists have a water stain. The cleanlyness in the bathroom behind the sink could do with a good clean with bleach, didn't smell but was noticeable. The electric hob has no indication which one is on ie the front or back. However, we enjoyed our stay and would consider contacting Corwell Cottages if we visit the area again.

Lovely cottage, great location. Very comfortable stay. Nice touches like fresh flowers, biscuits, milk, teabags, and other useful stuff. We arrive a day late due to our own fault, but, the owner let us stay for a whole week anyway. We thought this was very kind indeed. We would definitely recommend this charming cottage to anyone looking around that area of Cornwall.

Lovely week away in cobblers cottage. Clean and welcoming. Well equipped . Great location -fall out of bed & into a great coffee shop! Small but fine for our family of 4 plus dog. Safe & close enough for the kids to walk to shops ( first time!!) and right in the heart of the action. Enclosed patio for dog too. We would certainly return

Nice quaint cottage in excellent location just a few yards from the harbour. Reasonably comfortable and well equipped but it would benefit from a larger TV.

An excellent location with all the facilities we needed. A compact and well laid out cottage . The location near the harbour was ideal for us and gave us a real feel of being in St Mawes .

we had a lovely time, very comfy cottage in an ideal position for exploring this beautiful area. we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Cornwall cottages.

All Ok, but the lights of the lamps in the living and in the rooms is very poor at nignt. We can`t read with the low and not enough lamps. And finaly the Wi Fi is very low.

What can I say, what a little gem! We managed to fit 4 adults into this little cottage for a full week. The cottage itself had everything you would need, another couple of mirrors for the girls would have helped but apart from that it was ideal. The location just could not have been better. The butchers opposite provided some gorgeous sausages, bacon and black pudding. The bakers at the end of the lane have fantastic doughnuts. The local pubs and bars have plenty of Rattler cider as well as great food. The coffee shop does a lovely coffee and snacks. The list goes on and on! St Mawes itself is a lovely place to stay. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a great stay in a fantastic location.

A great stay in beautiful surroundings and a lovely cosy and well presented cottage. The outside area, barbecue, washing machine and dish washer were real bonuses. Would recommend to others. :D
