We had a very enjoyable stay at cobblestones, A very spacious cottage, superb kitchen/dinner , beautiful bathroom, good size bedrooms. Ideal location. Loved it . The owner Janice was more that helpful. Highly recommend

We had a nice week at Cobblestones however I felt the photos were much nicer than the reality. The lounge was quite dark and a bit claustrophobic and the carpets were a not particularly clean. 1.The outside’roof terrace’ was unsuitable for my 2 year old granddaughter and my 13 year old dog. 2.I very much missed a sea view and you had no views from any of the windows in the cottage except a bit of sky from the skylights and into the passageway at the entrance. 3.I found one bathroom, upstairs, a bit of a pain. Having said that, the above three items I was aware of when booking, but on reflection I would not return. I also feel the star rating of 5 was a bit high and 4 would have been fairer.

This was our second visit to Cobblestones and once again it was excellent. A perfect spot from which to explore St Mawes. Can't wait to come again!

Alan Bowles

Overall a very well equipped and comfortable, centrally located cottage. Being in a courtyard it was very quiet even though it is only a few paces from the sea wall. Modern kitchen and appliances with plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. Those with poor mobility may find it difficult as there is only one toilet upstairs. Limited instructions re rubbish and recycling and only one key provided. Fine if you are all going out and returning together, if not, you have to remember to place it in the key safe to avoid some of the party being locked out.

4 years since our first trip to Cobblestones and St Mawes and our second visit did not disappoint. The cottage is very comfortable with a great modern bathroom and magnificent kitchen whilst still retaining its original cottage character. Its location is steps from the harbour wall, the magnificent St Mawes sea views and easy access to the foot ferry, pubs, cafes and restaurants of St Mawes. The little terrace above the kitchen might not have sea views, but is a lovely little sun trap, especially in the morning. The cottage had everything we needed (good, free wifi, TV, Bluetooth speaker, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc). The only downside of the cottage is that it only has the one loo in the only bathroom, but for 2 or 4 of you its manageable. Might be awkward if 3 couples, not such an issue for a family. The place was spotlessly clean and we had excellent service from Cornwalls cottages staff who always responded in a very timely fashion to the myriad of questions and changes to my booking I made over several weeks. The cream tea was a lovely bonus and we would definitely go back a third time.

Great cottage with all we needed. Was meeting family and friends for a birthday occasion, location perfect.

We have stayed here for three consecutive years and enjoyed it every time. The location in relation to the shops, restaurants, pubs and the harbour is ideal. It's a tucked away cottage with no real view but the location oposite the sea wall more that makes up for that. It's very quiet and peaceful too. I like St Mawes and I like this cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at Cobblestone. We felt that the cottage was starting to look a little tired possibly from a busy summer season - cobwebs around the velux windows, stains on the carpet, food left in a slightly messy freezer, dusty skirting boards, and ashes left in the bbq. It might not bother most but If you like things sparking, like my wife, it may not quite live up to expectations. Building work across the courtyard prevented any chance of a peaceful early morning ly-in, which was a shame. On the plus side a powerful shower and copious hot water was good. And being just a stones throw from the waterfront was lovely. The welcoming delicious homemade scones, jam and clotted cream was a nice touch. Thank you.

I was totally blown away by the property when we arrived. The photos on the website really didn’t do it justice. Located centrally in St Mawes it was hugely convenient for my whole family including my 71 year old Mum and 5 year old niece. On the downside there was only one bathroom. An extra toilet would have been useful. The only other downside was no parking but the car park in St Mawes does a weekly ticket for £30 which still makes this property a bargain in comparison to others centrally. The kitchen was spacious and airy with plenty of light. It housed the five of us easily and most nights we cooked at home as there were all the appliances we needed including microwave, oven, large freezer and fridges. The living room is spacious and comfortable, there are plenty of games and jigsaws if the sun doesn’t shine but if t does you are two minutes walk from town and five minutes from the beach (if that). There are three bedrooms. Two Twins and a double. All the beds were comfy and there was plenty of space for all including room to unpack. The bathroom is clean and modern with both a bath and separate spacious shower. Towels were not that great so I would recommend taking your own in addition to the swimming towels they ask you to bring. Outside space is a patio area. This was a little challenging for my mum to get up to just because the steps were steep but once up there there is a good outside bench and a bbq for your needs. The only drawback is that there is a pylon outside which made me slightly uncomfortable with my niece running about. This property seems cheaper than other central locations because of the lack of sea view but you are right on the sea wall and there are plenty of places to enjoy the view with a cold drink just minutes away. There is snothing much to say about this property... I am sure that you will enjoy like we did. It is definitely on our hot properties list going forward.

Perfect position and friendly locals. Cottage designed with extra light in each room beautiful with more than just extras

Our second visit to cobblestones absolutely gorgeous cottage in a stunning location. St Mawes is a firm favourite of ours and has everything you could want in a Cornish little town we intend to come here again and again can’t praise it enough ??

Sarah Calvert

Can really only say what a wonderful time we had. The cottage was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented, comfortable and very conveniently located. We will definitely return, both to the cottage and to Cornwallscottages.

John Lister

I had a great week at Cobblestones with my family. The welcome cream tea was really appreciated. St .Mawes is a beautiful place and this was our fifth visit. We all felt very at home in the cottage and were sad to leave.

William Bond

Quite simply put, this is a very good place to stay indeed. This was a return visit and I would not hesitate to return yet again.

Amanda Ayres

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage right in the middle of St Mawes. Beds very comfortable, kitchen dining room beautifully fitted out with a very light and airy feel. One negative was that there was only one bathroom (with only one toilet) which did make for some interesting moments with the 6 of us!

Nicola Shingler

We have stayed in many cottages in Cornwall and Cobblestones was by far the loveliest. Spotlessly clean, yummy cream tea on arrival, lovely sunny outdoor area to enjoy a glass of wine, perfect location- beach/pubs/restaurants a 2 minute walk away. Just perfect! Thank you.

Abigail Blaker

Beautiful cosy cottage in a great location. Spotlessly clean and with everything we needed provided and more, What a lovely holiday!

Georgina Elliott

The cottage is beautiful. Cosy living room, yet light and spacious in the kitchen/dining area and bathroom. Perfect location next to the sea and a minutes walk from the castle, a great pub, restaurant and cafes. Outside area wonderful for sunny days. We didn't want to leave and would certainly go back. Thank you.

Gwyn Jones

A beautiful little cottage tucked away so very private. Small but all creature comforts and suited our needs. Our dog adored the underfloor heating. A lovely selection of DVDs and books and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us! What more could you ask? We will return!

Carolyn Gardner

Cornwall out of season is fabulous (when you have the right weather) and St Mawes is no exception. Cobblestones is a well maintained cosy holiday cottage, well equipped, home from home.

Ceridwen Gutteridge

Thank you again for letting us stay at Cobblestones. We've visited so often now that it's like a home from home! Perfect for the dogs (beaches) and adults (restaurants/pubs) all within walking distance. Thank you also for the much appreciated bubbles, which were left chilling in the fridge - a perfect start to our New Year Celebrations. Apologies for not completing the Visitors Book - we were unwell with the flu' and had to return home earlier than anticipated. I also think we forgot to complete after our September stay. Will rectify that on our next visit to lovely Cobblestones and fabulous St. Mawes. PS: any chance of the addition of a hook on the back of the door in twin bedroom, nearest the bathroom. Just to hag towels/dressing gown, if we have other folk staying.

Chris Bowerman

We came to St Mawes for a family wedding and five of us spent a great week at Cobblestones. We found the cottage absolutely excellent for our needs, very well equipped and comfortable. We won't need the excuse of another wedding to visit again!

Louise Barrett

A stones throw from the sea, we loved rockpooling with the children. The cottage was cosy and homely. The beds clean and. comfy. A cupboard full of games and a stack of dvds. A wonderfully peaceful little holiday with all local amenities close by. We loved Cobblestones. Thank you!

Kirsten Edwards

This is our third visit in as many years! My husband & I love the property & the location! We will definitely be back!

Ceridwen Gutteridge

Our annual trip to St. Mawes. The cottage is well placed to visit all of the restaurants/pubs/coffee shops & it's dog friendly (tiled flooring downstairs with underfloor heating) so perfect for us.

Linda Johnson

We loved the cottage, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. St Mawes - excellent locaiton. We loved the scones left at the property for our arrival.

Julia Penrose

This was a good holiday home and we loved the location. The only thing missing were places to hang things- towels etc as there were very few hooks around the place. It all looked lovely but the practical details can let things down sometimes!

Charlotte Brew

A lovely property, tucked away from the sea front in St Mawes. The Kitchen is light and spacious (probably the best room), the sitting room cosy. All three bedrooms had sufficient storage. In all a lovely house, just a shame about the ants on the terrace.

Brendan Breaks

Only problem on the first few nights, the property behind the main bedroom was very active early in the morning. I thought they were in the room with us. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jo Manning

Amazing cottage, central, everything you may need! Cornwall Cottages are excellent, Friendly and helpful. We woukd thoroughly recommend the cottage and Cornealls Cottages.

Oliver Bishop

Very good customer service, quick and informative emails. The arrival information was vet clear and easy to follow. The house was clean and and very comfortable as expected. The location was fantastic and St Mawes is a lovely place to stay.

Georgina Manville

Excellent position within St Mawes - almost on the harbour front, yet private and quiet. Very comfortable. Washing left in machine. Not so quiet on last night after neighbours arrived; could hear them walking up and down their stairs from the downstairs bedroom.

Samantha Waddington

We had a wonderful weekend at Cobblestones and will be returning again next year! A lovely cottage in a great location. Ideal for a dog loving family!

Tim Chandler

We had a wonderful time at Cobblestones, it's tucked neatly out of the way whilst being right in the thick of it! Will be returning soon to enjoy the light and airy kitchen/dining area and sip an early evening glass of wine on the roof terrace.

Peter Tandy

Stayed for a long weekend in September. Lovely cottage, very clean, spacious. Kitchen fully fitted and very large. Lovely location in St Mawes. Would certainly recommend this cottage and will stay again. Absolutely no complaints only praise.

Lucy Ryan

We love St Mawes & Cobblestones was a lovely cottage to stay in. Ticked a lot of boxes. Ideal size for the 2 of us - lovely big well appointed kitchen. Nice shower. Well equipped cottage, they'd thought of everything you might need. Would stay there again.

Ceridwen Gutteridge

Great to find another little gem of a cottage in St. Mawes which is dog friendly. A lovely cream tea was waiting for us, for which thank you, and the place was well stocked with all of those things which you meant to bring and then forgot (tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc. etc.). The cottage was very clean and everything was how it looked on the website. Very friendly neighbours at the back whom we enjoyed bumping into - dog lovers too, which was great. Highlights of our week there were: The Hidden Hut feast night (you need to buy tickets in advance and they are difficult to get). Just brilliant - overlooking Porthcurnick Beach Kayaking from the Harbour - good fun (we brought our wet suits this year) Breakfast on the roof terrace in the sun Regular visits to St. Mawes Hotel, very dog and people friendly Just being in St. Mawes - we love it and plan to stay longer and visit more often next year

Christine Hollins

Excellent overall. Property would have benefitted from another loo downstairs. Great location. Very good condition. Quiet lane to the property. Enjoyed our stay.

We booked Cobblestones cottage to attend a family wedding at St Mawes castle and we couldn't have picked a better location! The cottage is very charming and well equipped, situated just up an alleyway off the sea front and we loved the scones, jam and clotted cream which awaited us on our arrival - very thoughtful. We had an issue with a broken washing machine but the lovely owner called round to explain and even offered to do our washing for us if needed. A new machine was delivered and installed later in the week! The local butchers, bakery and supermarket are 2 minutes walk, as are the local pubs, restaurants and ferry to Falmouth. Others in the wedding party were not so lucky and found themselves staying at the top of "heart attack hill" - So glad we booked Cobblestones we had a fabulous stay.

The cottage is very charming but we did not think gave value for money compared with other St Mawes cottages where we have stayed in the past; for the same or similar price we have stayed in places that offered equally good or better facilities, but also e.g. more space, two bathrooms, or a sea view. Plus we had a problem with the washer drier and we were not happy with the owner's overall response to this. With a family of five in and on the sea every day, we had a lot of wet salty washing which we ended up having to take elsewhere. We would not stay here again but we would recommend it to others having made them aware of our reservations about it.

We spent a lovely week at Cobblestones with our grown up children and friends. Everyone was very happy with the house - plenty of room for us all, a spacious and sunny kitchen/ dining room, useful patio with barbecue. The beds were very comfortable and the location was brilliant - quiet, in a small courtyard, but right by the main harbour road of St Mawes, close to pubs, restaurants, shops and the harbour, where we moored a small, locally hired boat for the week and played at Swallows and Amazons around the Roseland peninsula and beyond. Parking the car in St Mawes' car park was not cheap (but maybe normal for Cornwall) but it's a pretty walk there via the quay (and friendly pasty shop). A problem with the washbasin was sorted out in reasonable time.

This was our first time staying at Cobblestones. We loved the location of the cottage - right on the harbour. The cottage has been updated to a very high standard and the interior is gorgeous. We were very happy here. Nice touches were the fresh homemade scones and flowers on arrival.

Me and my husband stayed at Cobblestones in May 2015. A really lovely, charming, comfortable, remarkably spacious and extremely well equipped cottage. Not only was a cream tea and a pint of milk provided on our arrival, but there was washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, liquid soap at all sinks and a large kitchen/dining room full of decent cookery equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware. The living room was also very comfortable with a TV/DVD that showed basic freeview TV. The free wifi was a bonus and worked very well. There was one king sized very comfy double bed and two other twin bedded rooms. The bathroom with separate large shower housed the only loo which was not an issue for just the two of us, but would need some careful planning if there were 6 of you! The underfloor heating was fabulous. We were aware when booking that there is no view from this cottage and only a very compact terraced area to the rear, but as the harbour quay and sea wall are only a few steps from the front door it didn't matter to us. A fabulous cottage would highly recommend.

A fantastic stay had by all. An easy 2 min walk into town. A lovely big kitchen and dinning room made it perfect for a young family. We would stay again. Thanks

We had a wonderful few days in Cobblestones - what a lovely, comfortable cottage! The kitchen definitely made it for us as we're all foodies and there was the added bonus of somewhere to put the dog crates. FYI it swallowed up 2 dog crates and a couple of extra dog beds scattered around quite nicely. My only 'worry' was that there was no apparent ventilation in the bathroom (no fan and no way of opening the velux after a shower)...... We would definitely think of returning to this cottage in the future.

Cobblestones is a lovely property in a fabulous location. It is obvious that the property is well maintained and managed. This was our second stay at the property and we will be visiting again in the near future. The only very small downside is the lack of a second bathroom and toilet but this was not a major problem. Cobblestones makes up for this in so many other ways. Many Thanks

Kirsty Talbot

We had a wonderful stay at Cobblestones cottage, it really has everything you need! The decor is lovely, the layout is excellent so when there are 3 couples staying everyone has enough space of their own. I would highly recommend this property.

Annie Tudor

Gorgeous cottage, gorgeous location. Enjoyed by everyone. The cottage benefits from the various skylights as it brightens what would normally have been a dark cobbled street cottage. Decor is very modern with kitchen and bathroom beautifully remodelled. Just mind your head on the doorways!

Kirsten Edwards

A beautiful well equipped cottage with every home from home comfort! I would certainly recommend a stay here to family & friends! Scones left yummy!

This is such a lovely cottage and in the most perfect location. Close to the estuary, shops and places to eat. We will most definitely stay again.

A beautiful Cornish cottage, perfectly located. We had a wonderful stay and were even treated to cream tea waiting for us on arrival. It was a real treat.

My wife and I have stayed in many cottages in Devon and Cornwall over the years and found Cobbelestones to be amongst the very best that we've experienced. Situated in a small, peacful courtyard yet still so conveniently located for the shops, pubs and restaurants of St Mawes made it the perfect place for us. The cottage was really well equipped providing everything we needed in a 'home from home'. Having benefitted from superb weather during our holiday, the roof terrace also gave us a great place to BBQ and eat in the sunshine. Comfortable beds, great bath / shower room, relaxing living room and big kitchen / diner were everything we needed and more. Whilst parking outside the cottage was restricted during the day, a big pay & display car park was only 5 minutes walk away and at £25-00 per week, was reasonable value. St Mawes is a lovely place, Cobblestones provides excellent acconmodation and we'll definitely be going again.

I am just making observations as we liked the cottage but having stayed in a few we would say... 1 heating in bedrooms poor as the small electric radiators we had to leave on all the time and it was not that cold during our stay 2 kitchen area is great but could do with checking the cutlery etc - all knives were blunt and we never found a tin opener 3 1 washroom in a 3 bedroom cottage is tight ( we obviously knew this when we went) i am just saying it would be much more appealing with a small cloakroom downstairs otherwise a cracking location julian

Harriet Watts

We had a lovely time staying at Cobblestones. The cottage was beautiful and cosy. They thought of all mod cons. We will definitely be staying again!!!

We stayed over the Christmas period 2013 and loved every minute. House is warming and welcoming. Scones were a treat as were the lovely chocolate buttons for the Children.

Rob Brown

Thank you for a fabulous stay in the Cobblestones Cottage in St Mawes. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is that if it gets too popular we may not get in next time!

Jeremy Garman

Beautiful little cottage tucked down a little lane off the main seafront road. Worked really well for a family holiday with 2 kids & a grandmother. Will be back.

We all thought it was a great place to stay and everyone felt very welcome. My son particularly enjoyed the lego that was on offer and my daughter the selection of videos. Our favourite place was the roof terrace, where we spent many happy times.
