Our third visit to this lovely cottage set in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula and will definitely visit again. A very cosy cottage and has everything you need. After a day out exploring and walking it is a lovely place to come back to and relax. Annie and Brian are charming hosts!
We stayed at Crugsillick Studio and loved our stay. The Studio was very spacious and perfect for our party of 3 plus a dog. Fabulous walks from the doorstep and the beach only a 20 minute walk away on foot through a delightful wood covered in bluebells when we visited in April. Annie the owner was really helpful and friendly thank you so much for our welcome pack it was much appreciated.
We booked this cottage for 5 nights and we were blessed with sun and lovely weather. It was a quite time and we were able to enjoy the gardens around. it is a peaceful location and great to enjoy and explore the Rosalind. We were visiting out of season so some places were still closed. The owners were there and very helpful with great tips of where to go, and they also managed to find us some crab we were looking for few days. With a bit of TLC this place is great, but probably best either for 3 adults or a small family. The main room is very big comfy and light but the second room is quite small dark and a bit dump. Kitchen area is great and the outdoors could do with some nice flowers and some comfy seating or cushions.
Had a great stay, lovely location and great to be able to walk to the beach. Parking a little tight if all properties are occupied. COVID meant that the owner couldnt give us a hand over inside and consequently we started the fire wrong and then spent the whole week with everything smelling of smoke which was horrible. I think in times like this there should be written instructions clearly inside properties. same with oven, the dials are worn bare and I had to hunt for the manual just to use it correctly. The cleaning was a little hit and miss lots of cobwebs and an unemptied fireplace. At over £800 for the week I just expected a little more. That said we had a fantastic holiday, it was a part of Cornwall we had not visited before and it made a great central base. Annie and her partner were lovely and very welcoming. The enclosed garden was great as we have dogs and a real bonus to the studio
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Crugsillick Studio. Very comfortable, clean, brilliant location. Great place for dogs. Owners very helpful. Well equipped.
A review already sent by email. Since you insist- we found the cottage comfortable and well- designed, with good parking. On or two suggestions. The electric shower in the bedroom with the double bed went cold after a while for no reason. A light above the kitchen sink would be useful, and shaver points in the bathrooms. A door mat inside the front door would avoid treading mud over the floor. We found the owner charming and very helpful. The shower in the other bedroom would be improved by somewhere to hold onto when showering, especially for older people.
A return visit to The Studio in early summer. The accommodation was very clean and well presented. The new bathroom and shower room were a great improvement and look impressive. The Studio is well located for trips to the coast and for walking in the beautiful countryside.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, setup was great with the private and shared garden, kids loved it. Roseland peninsula was comparatively quiet, just as we had hoped, plenty of beach trips, castles and gardens. Hidden hut deserves its praise too!
Crugsillick Studio is a lovely place to stay. Its comfortable, has everything you need & good outside space with great bbq. Garden is also completely dog proofed. The open plan kitchen- living room is light & spacious. Fun to have a trampoline children can use & we enjoyed looking round Annies beautiful garden. It makes a big difference that the owner is on site & actually cares that youre enjoying the property, making an effort to make sure youre comfortable. Its a great location, a short drive or lovely walk to Carne/Pendower beach, from where you can walk along the coast path to Portscatho or Portloe.
We really enjoyed our stay here with our two dogs. The enclosed garden was perfect for catching the sun during the day and for a barbecue in the evening. The property itself had everything we needed - comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. A 20 minute walk took us either to Pendower Beach or to The New Inn in Veryann and we were able to source loads of local produce from farm shops (fab fish from Curgurrell Farm), Da Bara Bakery, Veryan & Portloe Store and the Texaco garage! St Mawes is a very easy drive (or bus ride) away. Highly recommended and we hope to visit again. Big thank you to Annie for looking after us!
We had a great time at the studio, which was well appointed and nicely cleaned with a nice outside space also. The host was very friendly and helpful. Lovely surrounding area, we enjoyed visiting the many sandy coves within walking distance and walking the coastal path.
Well thought out accommodation, Crugsillick is conveniently placed in Roseland, this interesting and beautiful part of Cornwall. Good walking country though most needed a short car drive first. The owners have equipped the propertyt for all needs, and were very helpful for the few extras that arose. Many thanks
Had the most wonderful stay in Crugsillick Studio, it is so comfortable and very well equipped. Its very tastefully presented and a haven to hide away in. The situation of the cottage is so well placed with fabulous walks, beautiful beaches and gardens, St Mawes to visit, ferries to Falmouth and of course the Hidden Hut is a gem to visit even in the worst weather. We definitely hope to return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the comfortable and well equipped Crugsillick Studio. The quiet location within a half hour walk of a beautiful beach was a real bonus. We would book again without hesitation.
We had a wonderful stay in this cottage which is in a beautiful part of Cornwall. The cottage is very comfortable and warm with a private garden area. It is very well equipped and ideal for a family of 4. We appreciated the welcome flowers/wine/biscuits and the local information from the friendly hosts. The cottage is a pretty 20 minute walk from a lovely beach and Melinsey Mill tea-rooms only a 10 minute walk away. This cottage is well placed for visiting St Mawes, Mevagissey , Lost gardens of Heligan and many of Cornwalls beautiful sights.
Without the thoughtful 'extras' the Studio was a great place to stay, but what made our an exceptional stay was Annie's hospitality and the above and beyond extras like flowers, wine, wisdom . Will definitely visit again!
The cottage was really well appointed despite its size with everything we needed including logs and firefighters (we stayed in feb), wine, milk and fresh flowers - nice touches. Its well located for walks and the nearest beach is beautiful a half hour hilly walk away. Good internet too!
We had a really lovely stay in the cottage. It was in beautiful condition and everything we needed was there. Lovely quiet location and very friendly owner. Bottle of wine, biscuits and flowers all waiting for us. Thank you very much.
Location is great, you can walk (20 min.) to a small shop and nice pub in Veryan, walk to the beach (20 min.) and if you like get right on the coastal path from there. Tearoom only 5 minutes away. Cottage is nice when staying with teenagers, because of the two bedrooms with ensuite and living/kitchen just in between. You can hear some traffic passing by, but not disturbing. Friendly owners.
The cottage was very comfortable, spacious, clean and well-presented. The hostess made us very welcome and has a lovely garden that you can explore. Its a great location with a nice woodland path down to the beach and excellent privacy. The local beaches are walkable and attractive. There is a very nice mill just down the road where you can have a lovely evening meal.
The Studio was perfect for our break away and is very convenient having two bathrooms. The well stocked kitchen was great for self catering and the owners were very friendly coming to introduce themselves once we were settled. Facilities all worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for visits to St Mawes and the Roseland area. The single beds in the second room were rather uncomfortable and there was a musty smell in the double bedroom however this did not ruin our stay.
We thought some comfortable garden chairs would be a good addition even if it was just plastic chairs stacked somewhere. I loved feeding the chickens and also exploring the gorgeous garden.
