The cottage we stayed in (one of three on Pollaughan farm) was well appointed, warm and had excellent facilities. Wi-fi was excellent (we were able to stream Netflix to our laptop) as were the bedrooms (both had ensuite bathrooms with great water pressure and nice showers). The kitchen was nice and open with good appliances and the lounge is a good size with great views over the fields.
The farm where the cottage is situated is lovely - sheep, ducks and hens roam around and provide interest for children and there are two ponds and nice grounds to walk around. Options for longer walks from the farm are excellent - 20 minutes walk to several great beaches and the coast path.
Portscatho village has good shops, a nice pub and coffeeshop and is lovely and worth a visit in its own right. The beach is great and there are some fun art shops too.
All in all the cottage is highly recommended and we hope to return soon.

Had a fabulous time. Lots of lovely touches when we arrived, including the food basket and delicious cream tea. Owners were very friendly and lovely to watch the animals being fed in the morning. A great environment and topped off with the present of some very tasty home baking when Fleur had made a cake.
