Generally good, just a couple of areas that could do with a little attention. (Kitchen door scraping the floor). Some of the cooking equipment could do with updating (baking trays and frying pans).

We were very impressed with Laburnum Cottage as it exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Beautiful family space the two lounges were very useful and the kitchen diner was a great hosting place. Only drawback was that there were a lot of cobwebs on the windows and in the high ceilings. Overall the cleanliness was good just a few areas good have benefitted from a dust. Parking for two small cars is absolutely doable but the depth of the gravel makes it tricky for any heavy/larger vehicles so be aware. We had a brilliant week in the cottage and if we had any issues contact from Davina was great.

Charming old cottage benefitting from spacious extension. Ten minute walk from pub and shop, a much safer walk since new footpath created between Veryan Green and Veryan. Gated off street parking, quiet location, well placed for access to coast and Roseland peninsula. Comfortable lounge with large TV and Netflix although could be cleaner under and behind furniture. Overall - a very relaxing week in a lovely house in our favourite part of Cornwall.

Brian Hill

Well-equipped, comfortable cottage in lovely village. Pub and post office/shop within walking distance.

Richard Hill

Very comfortable cottage well located for our walking holiday. Also close to beeches and National Trust properties.

An excellent property, modern, clean and really good attention to detail. Well situated in a lovely Cornish village with an excellent local pub which serves good food! Easy access to carne beach, ideal for a day out, picnics etc. We had really good weather and we’re in easy reach of local amenities. We visited the Eden project and local towns - Truro, Falmouth, St Mawes. The Roseland peninsula was in bloom!!! Excellent.

Beautiful cottage which had every amenity we could have wished for. Great location with some fabulous beaches just a short drive away. We are a family of 5 including three teenage boys and were incredibly comfortable throughout our weeks stay. Two lounges (both with TVs) and great wi fi made our boys very happy ! Beds super comfy with high quality linen, plentiful towels and constant hot water. Would highly recommend and look to stay again

We enjoyed our stay at laburnum cottage which is furnished to a high standard, clean well maintained and comfortable. If anything, the beds were a bit soft for us, but is the only slight negative I can find. The stairs to the bedrooms are fairly steep but they are quite short and have a handrail. My mum is over 70 and struggles going up stairs, but was able to manage these ok. Communication with the owners was very good and included helpful tips on getting the most our if this part of Cornwall. Veryan is well located for visiting lots of beautiful places and nearby Carne beach is ideal for a day in the beach away from the usual crowds. There are some lovely walks nearby as long as you don’t mind some steep slopes and have good walking shoes.

Brilliant cottage in a wonderful location could do with a few more cooking utensils and main bed as it doesn’t half squeak

Sarah Jackson-Proes

Really comfortable and well furnished cottage. All the home comforts you would need. Lots of space for 5 people and clean. Great location near to everything you need but in beautiful countryside. A real gem!

This historical cottage has been well renewed and allowed a comfortable stay in the stunning Roselind Peninsula. Everything you need for a holiday is providing. I highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage is in a fantastic village with great pub and shop. It is quiet and peaceful and close to lovely beaches. The cottage Itself is very clean, well kitted out and big enough for a family of 5 with 3 teenage kids. The owner was incredibly helpful when we had to inadvertently stay a few extra hours and very responsive. In order to improve a stay for any future renters then I would strongly recommend that the bed in the master bedroom is replaced. The mattress is not very comfortable and the bed creaks very loudly every time you move. We also couldn’t get the WiFi to work at all which we actually liked but for others could be an issue.

Beautiful location with a very nice local pub. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for our week long stay, very clean and comfortable. Great base for exploring the Roseland peninsula

On our arrival we were pleasantly surprised as it actually looked bigger than thought. Inside was realy set out very well with loads of room in the kitchen dining area. Both front rooms had sky TV and the wifi worked very well. I cannot fault the cleanliness of the property, and the linen and towels were soft and like new. Now the real good bit I would honestly class this as a home as all the little things needed to run a house was present. There was even books jigsaws and Lego for the children and the bedroom with the single beds was ideally set out for children. This is also very well situated for discovering the local beauty plus an excellent local pub/resteraunt within 5 mins drive. We 100 % recomend to rent this cottage, and our friends were also very pleased who came with us. Fantastic week.

The cottage was in good condition in an excellent location, unfortunately the weather during our stay was not very good only one wet day but was cold and windy. The downstairs reception rooms were uncomfortable to sit and the under floor heating failed to work. The bedrooms were comfortable and well heated by radiators but unfortunately accessed by very steep stairs and should really be notified to clients of our age when booking the accommodation.as unsuitable. We enjoyed our stay in Cornwall a county that we both love and return on a regular basis and will no doubt return again in the future and be happy to use your services but will research the accommodation more thoroughl to make sure it is suitable to our age and needs.

Extremely pleased with the cottage, lovely country setting. Very clean and bedding/towels of a high standard. Would benefit from a more comfortable sofa and appliance manuals. Otherwise perfect.

Helen Kerridge

Gorgeous location, great for beaches but also picturesque village and amenities. Beautiful costal walks nearby. Cottage is very spacious and yet cosy with good cooking facilities so you can eat at home. All communications were straightforward. We had a wonderful stay.

Geoff my husband chose Cornwall as his destination of choice to celebrate his seventieth birthday.Laburnum cottage suited our needs with a two year old grandson, plenty of space for him to run around and the box of toys were great. We especially loved the small armchairs very thoughtful. Not forgetting the adults who also had a great time celebrating, relaxing and visiting lots of super places including lots of great beaches, all in all we had a really super holiday in a very well equipt and comfortable house.

Property very well equipped with everything you need .a lot of thought by owners has gone into the modernisation probably the best cottage we have stayed in

We found Laburnum Cottage to be extremely comfortable for our party of five. The living area is spacious with two small lounges and a large dining room. The kitchen is large, modern and very well equipped. The cottage has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The three bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds, and the bathroom and en-suite are both modern, fresh and clean. The garden is well presented and large enough for a party to sit out comfortably in the summer. The location in Veryan on the Roseland Peninsula is fantastic with good local amenities within walking distance and all likely Cornish attractions easily accessible.

Laburnum cottage is a 10 min walk from Veryan with its pub, post office and couple of tea and craft shops. It provides easy access to several sandy beaches (take your choice depending on wind direction and tide), St Mawes, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and a fine stretch of the coast path. The cottage has 3 well proportioned double bedrooms with quirky shutters on the windows (we loved them) and sufficient storage space for a short stay. The 'sunny corner' is a lovely 'all-day' sun-trap for eating breakfast or reading a book tho' I wish the garden wall was slightly lower so that I could see more of the adjoining fields. The garden is small and well maintained.

Delightful cottage in lovely quiet village. Short walk to playground. Scenic drive to St Mawes, beaches etc great location. Very child friendly, box of toys and kids' step and kids' armchairs (which they loved!) provided. Very well equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. All spotlessly clean. A comfy sofa in sitting room would be a great addition.

Ideal location for six people to stay in comfort , whilst having a lot of creature comforts , wonderful big kitchen & facilities . The whole house has been very well renovated, well thought out , fantastic power showers ! sited in a very quite village of Veryan , but your not very far from some wonderful beaches, and beautiful clear sea . we had the best whether you could dream of . The family fell in love with the cottage ,and didn't want to come home ! we would love to book this again in the future, maybe an area we would consider retiring to ! thank you . Steve & Family ( Hastings )

Laburnum Cottage is a very well restored cottage with high quality fittings, good village position. Very well looked after in excellent condition. We had a good stay which was spoilt by the inability of the cottage to seat six adults comfortably, there are two small lounges with hard furniture that seat four in each room. The hot water system is inadequate for six adults and there is no control offered for the heating system. No welcome pack provided (some previous visitors had them !) Cornwall Cottages told us that the photos of the property clearly show the living room layout, and that they do not offer welcome packs. They declined to comment on the hot water or other points raised with them, they say that these have been passed to the owners for their comments. This cottage is ideal for a young family but not for adults holidaying together.

A few negatives worth mentioning - but they didn't outweigh the positives! The furniture in the two living rooms was not the most comfortable. Definitely on the small size! Unless I just couldn't find them I don't think there was a broom or mop. Keys to one of the exterior doors was missing. (The owners offered to sort this but I didn't think it was worth getting someone over) (I contacted the owner re: failed light bulbs but agreed it wasn't worth getting someone over as they would be at the house themselves immediately after us)

We had a lovely week in Laburnum Cottage which is very homely cottage. The facilities were excellent, our only criticism was that provision of logs would be useful.

Lovely house in a lovely area. Would happily return. The kitchen / dinning area was fantastic. Looking at the house form the outside does not do it justice. Very well renovated and owners should be proud.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is situated in a beautiful area of Cornwall. The cottage itself is very well presented. It's great to stay somewhere that looks exactly as it appears on the website.
