Meadow House is located high on a ridge on St Anthony Headland and is part of the Place Estate. This is the perfect place to escape from reality there are few better places to enjoy the true beauty of the idyllic Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by rolling rural landscapes, stunning walks with the best views of St Mawes, Place House, Pendennis Castle, Falmouth and the Carrick Roads. Explore St Anthony Head and the Lighthouse, famously used as the base for the TV series Fraggle Rock and also Molunan Beaches which are right by the lighthouse. As a bonus, you can take the car down a private lane to within a couple of hundred yards of the beach, closer if you bring a 4x4, and are confident of its off-roading capability. Towan Beach is also close by and is also dog friendly and family safe.
Meadow House does offer the perfect escape from urban living with a recently fitted kitchen diner with all mod cons, utility/boot room, large living room with a cosy wood burning stove. A south-facing conservatory with a Rattan corner sofa and table provides the perfect quiet spot for an afternoon with a book. The garden has a fuschia hedge separating it from the surrounding field and is secure with plenty of space and there is an adjoining area, including goal post for letting children run off some steam. Upstairs is a master bedroom with en-suite, and two further, good sized bedrooms with a family bathroom. Everything about this wonderful house is accentuated by the mantra "location, location, location". There is so much glorious countryside to explore, including beaches, creeks, lighthouses and castles, your family will love their stay, and your family pets will have the best holiday ever!
Ground Floor: Front door leads into an entrance hall with doors to; Living room, double aspect, with open fire, comfortable sofas and TV. First Floor: Master double bedroom, double aspect, with 5' bed, distant sea views and storage, en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Zip and link double bedroom with 2 x 3' beds and storage. Twin room with 3' beds and storage and a family bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC.
Exterior: Large patio with table, chairs BBQ and a couple of sun loungers. The large lawned garden surrounds the patio with a separate area for ball sports including football post, the parking area at the other end of the house with plenty of room for 3 cars.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil central heating and the open fire in the lounge. The kitchen has fully fitted units, electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine & dishwasher. The lounge has a flat-screen TV. Superfast unlimited WiFi is available at the property.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. There is parking on the drive for 3 cars, more by arrangement. Up to 3 well-behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional cost of £30 per dog / per week although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the house - more small dogs on request. We regret no smoking is permitted.
