Cosy cottage in a really pretty village good location for exploring Cornwall . Comfy beds great shower , good well equipped kitchen could just do with better seating in the living room .
The cottage was in very good condition, with many of the facilities appearing new It had been very well cleaned. .The kitchen was well equipped. The front 'master bedroom was specious, airy and well equipped. The location was very good; the village had a a fine pub with decent food and a well stocked village store with decent opening hours. The village was an ideal location for the coast and the wider Roseland peninsular. The sitting room was a bit gloomy but generally comfortable. The garden was functional. The owners are obviously not gardeners. The garden furniture was not particularly comfortable. and the patio was not in the right place for the sun at any time. Overall, however, we were very impressed and hope to return soon.
The cottage was pleasant and in a good location and we had a great holiday. However the cottage needs a makeover as it was very tired and not as comfortable as you would expect today. Because of covid we expected a very clean cottage but this wasn't the case. Several cobwebs were apparent and the thick dust on top of the wardrobe in the front bedroom was very disappointing. The shower might have been cleaned before we arrived but it certainly hadn't been wiped down. I could go on and this is why we thought it poor value for money
Lovely cottage in the village of Veryan, Cornwall. Within walking distance of beaches and coastal path.
This is our second stay in Pennine, we chose to come back because we absolutely loved the cottage and its location. Its so peaceful and tranquil. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
Nice cottage with good facilities and amenities but good do with updating the furniture. Drive is very tight to park in.
Our stay at Pennine in the lovely village of Veryan was very enjoyable. The cottage with lovely views from the rear and private garden were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped, bedroom very comfortable and shower excellent. The sofa is a little soft and perhaps could do with being replaced and the TV could be a little larger. Overall we had a fabulous week and will definitely come again.
A lovely well equipped cottage in a nice quiet and picturesque village, Would definitely stay again.
Our stay at Pennine was comfortable and the surroundings area was idyllic and peaceful but we found we were quite isolated from local restaurants and supermarkets. The New inn pub was close by but opening hours were very limited. The cottage had everything you need for a comfortable stay but my only disappointment was the couch in the lounge ,it needs updating as it was difficult to relax.I also struggle to see how maybe a family of 4 could sit adequately in the lounge area. In saying that the beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent.
We spent two weeks here. Family of four with teenage kids. The property is a cosy cottage with a good sized master bedroom and twin room. The shower room is compact but has a great shower cubicle with a powerful shower. The kitchen is well equipped with a small dining table for 4. The living room is also compact but comfortable. It is worth mentioning that parking is a bit of a challenge given the tight lane outside and while the driveway can take a large family hatchback you have to be comfortable with your parking skills. It doesn't detract from the cottage just something to be aware of if you are not used to Cornish roads. The village has great amenities, with the shop/post office open 7 days a week, a cafe and pub. The location is fantastic being just over a mile from Carne beach. Overall a very enjoyable holiday in a very pleasant location.
Pennine is a very nice cottage in a beautiful village. I don't think the photos do it justice as I was concerned it would be a bit snug for 4 adults but it was fine. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and perfectly positioned with lovely walks from the door. It is close to the pub and shop both of which are very good. The garden gets evening sun, perfect for an aperitiv. The village is very pleasant to walk around in the evening taking in the church, water garden and of course, the pub. Melinsey Mill is close by and is a wonderful peaceful place to have cream teas by the lake or delicious pizzas from their pizza oven in the evening when the twinkly lights come on. Carne beach is an easy walk away and is stunning. I would love to stay at Pennine again as it is a perfect base for exploring Roseland which has so much to offer.
