This cottage was really lovely- probably the best we have stayed in. Very well equipped and very comfortable. The owner lives next door and she was very approachable and keen to tell you about the area. It’s very quiet which is what we were looking for. Just nature and beauty.

Nicholas Swaine

Robin cottage is the most idyllic holiday home we have stayed in . The cottage is equipped to a very high standard and the owner went out of her way to make us feel comfortable . It is located in a quiet village with beautiful surroundings , including its own private gardens which are amazing The conservatory is a sanctuary for sitting and watching the bird life pass by . We would recommend Robin Cottage for anyone who wants a quiet bolt hole after visiting the surrounding nearby coastline and attractions.

Our stay at Robin Cottage was very peaceful and relaxing. One of the best cottages we have stayed in. A choice of two patios, one for breakfast sun and the other for afternoons and evenings. It is located on the Roseland peninsula away from main routes, but with very easy access to Truro, St Mawes and Mevagissey etc. The cottage is very clean and well maintained, and Wendy, the owner, who lives next door, allows you to get on with your holiday, but also very happy to chat or help you if you require advice or assistance. The bed was extremely comfortable and we now need to buy a new mattress after returning home. We hope to return to Robin Cottage. Thank you again Wendy for making our stay so enjoyable.

Bernadette Slater

Robin Cottage was a very relaxing place to stay with our labrador. The enclosed gardens are quiet (except for the birdsong) with lovely flowers, lawns and several patios to sit outside. Easy walks from the door. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and there is an excellent pub just 3 minutes walk away in the centre of Ruan. Car essential to explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. Some interesting villages and delightful beaches await. Recommend Portscatho, St.Just-in-Roseland church and The Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick beach.

Pippa Giles

We absolutely loved our stay at Robin Cottage and cannot praise the house, gardens, view, peace and location enough. The value for money was incredible and Wendy, the host, was kind, generous and on hand if needed but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Dawn Stevens

Very comfortable cottage with everything that you need. Extremely clean couldnt fault this at all. The owner is welcoming and friendly, there if you need them but not intrusive. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Gorgeous garden and the property has another terrace so you can catch the sun all day. Both are secure for dogs. Some lovely local walks we saw egrets grey herons deer and when we drove out to the coast for walks saw seals. Will be back

The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and the cottage itself was in pristine condition. Everything we needed for self-catering was provided at the cottage. The location of the cottage, amongst the Roseland countryside and the owner's beautifully maintained gardens, was lovely. The sun lounge provides warm and comfortable viewing of the local countryside and wildlife (including the barn owls). A very minor point, but the only suggestion we have to improve the facilities / comfort would be the provision of a towel rail that can be heated without switching on the central heating in the summer (i.e. electrically heated).

Barbara Berry

We had a lovely welcome from the owner Wendy , very safe and comfortable cottage. Would absolutely stay at this property again. Highly recommend.

Kate Horsefield

Despite the unseasonably wet and cool May weather we had a lovely stay in Robin Cottage. The cottage is absolutely immaculate, very comfortable, very well equipped and Wendy is the most delightful host who ensures you want for nothing. Robin Cottage is in the beautiful village of Ruan Lanihorn, it has lovely estuary views and well placed for visiting the Roseland Penisula and beyond. We will return, hopefully in better weather where we can benefit from one of the two patio area’s and hopefully sit out and enjoy the views over Wendy’s fabulous garden and beyond!

Robin L'oste-brown

Robin cottage was an ideal place to stay for a week's visit to Cornwall. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. Having a morning patio and an evening patio meant we could have breakfast in the morning sunshine and dinner in the evening sunshine. A real bonus! Having a sunny conservatory with lovely views meant we could eat inside on those evenings when the weather was showery. A real 'home from home'.

Peter Lea

Everything about Robin Cottage was excellent, we had a fabulous week no complaints about a single thing. This is definitely a 10/10 cottage

We received a very warm welcome to Robin Cottage. It was spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities for self-catering. The garden is extremely well kept and beautiful to look out on to as well as the immediate countryside. The cottage is conveniently located to visit the Eden Project and other gardens in the area - Lost Gardens of Heligan, NT Trellisick and others. It is also close to the the south-west coast path if you are a walker! We found no shortage of places to go to. We could find no fault and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Carol Measom

Very tranquil cottage in lovely surroundings.beautiful gardens to sit in.ideal for visiting areas of Cornwall.

Miles Dewis

A very comfortable and beautiful property. Wendy is a friendly host and was very helpful. We stayed over Christmas and were greeted with a decorated Christmas tree in the lounge. We cooked a full Christmas dinner and found nothing we needed wasn't provided. Hope to visit again.

Mark Williams

I didn't think such quiet places existed in Cornwall today. A lovely little village and on the edge of a nature reserve with plenty of wildlife around. The barn owls were my favourite! The property itself was lovely and clean, very spacious for two and well equipped. The walk down to "the quay" was lovely and the ever changing tides gave a different outlook each time you went for a walk. Wendy was a lovely host and lived right there, handy for advice and tips.

David Bird

A superb modern and easy to use property set in a lovely village on the edge of the nature reserve. The owner was very friendly with just the right amount of attention - if you needed help she was on hand but didn't impose herself on you in any way. We had a bottle of wine to greet us on arrival and some home grown fresh veg to help get us started. Parking was very easy and secure - great for dog owners and there were several garden areas to capitalise on the weather and secure a sheltered spot. The conservatory was a great addition and we spent most of our time in there basking in the sun and enjoying the view. All in all a great property and we wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

Marie Ver Eecke

We spent a very good time at Wendy's place : warm welcome - with fresh vegetables from the garden waiting for us -, fully furnished and perfectly clean house, beautiful garden and sunny terrace. We'll certainly go back to Robin cottage if we return to Cornwall. Thank you Wendy !

Victoria Churcher

We received a warm welcome from Wendy(the landlady) and found the cottage, gardens and the surroundings idyllic. Simply lovely.

Maggie Longman

Robin cottage was a delight - in a beautiful rural hamlet yet still close to the coast. The house itself was very well appointed, comfortable and spacious with a beautiful garden which was fully enclosed for our dog and a further enclosed patio with lovely views. We particularly enjoyed having a door onto the garden from the bedroom and also the lovely conservatory. Wendy the owner was very helpful and friendly. Robin cottage was one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

Dagmar Glaesmann

Wendy is very helpful and very nice. We can very well imagine coming back. If you are looking for peace, is right here.

Judith Porter

Very well equipped comfortable cottage in stunning location with panoramic views. It's in a peaceful village with a pub. Friendly owner, good garden space. We couldn't find any kitchen equipment it didn't have!

Rod Hoare

We were very pleased indeed with Robin Cottage. The accommodation was spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. Wendy had thoughtfully provided everything that was needed - including a welcoming bottle of wine! The kitchen in particular was extremely well equipped. A bonus was the use of Wendy's delightful garden which wraps around her house and Robin Cottage. It was also good to have her on hand next door for any queries we had. The setting is delightfully rural with walks on the doorstep. We could not fault it.

Hillary Hanson

Robin Cottage is well presented, immaculately clean, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, with thoughtful additional touches such as bedside radio, hair dryers, fresh flowers on arrival. Also clear and easy to follow instructions for equipment, heating etc. Wendy was a helpful yet unobtrusive host. The cottage has pretty gardens and views out onto a small wildlife pond and the estuary marshes. It is very peaceful. Photographs don't quite do it justice. Great place for a holiday with a dog, as the garden is enclosed and there are easy walks direct from the doorstep. The weather for our stay was not the best, so having such a warm and comfortable base was great. Lots of wonderful Cornish gardens within easy reach (we especially liked Trewithen).

Dawn Lake

Excellent standard of cleanliness to this lovely bungalow. Very comfortable bed and kitchen really well equipped. Beautiful gardens and so good that they take dogs. Wendy the owner is lovely.

Felicity Gibling

We had an excellent New Year break in this beautiful, quiet and unspoilt part of Cornwall. The cottage was really lovely - just perfect; it was comfortable, warm, cosy, well appointed - a real home from home. Excellent bathroom with generous shower, extremely comfortable bed, and conservatory for meals with a great view over the estuary. Wendy was a superb hostess - very kind, thoughtful, friendly, welcoming and so generous with a present in the fridge on arrival. It is a perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula - plenty of coastal walks, pretty villages, beaches close by, plenty of bird life and the village of Ruan Lanihorne is delightful. It is also absolutely brilliant that Wendy allows and welcomes dogs at the cottage - such a big bonus. Great pub just up the road too with a good menu. We can recommend this cottage as a wonderful holiday destination and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

Robin Cottage is an excellent property & we thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. Such a pleasure to book a personally managed cottage. Ruan Lanihorne is perfectly placed for exploring The Roseland. There are good walks from the door with hardly a car to be seen & yet less than 20 minutes to Truro.

Collette Pitcher

Well i am so glad we found Robin cottage. A true home from home with everything you could possibly need. Wendy was an amazing host and while not intrusive at all, was always at the end of the phone if needed. The village is picture postcard and a great base from which to explore the rest of cornwall. I would recommend this place in a shot. Beautiful.!

David Truman

Beautiful setting, especially if you like flowers and nature, we had some wonderful walks along the river with our dog. The owner was very polite and the welcome pack (especially the homegrown tomatoes) was very welcome. Only slight critisem is that it should state it should state in the description that there is no phone signal. It is the most relaxed I have felt after returning from a holiday and we will definitely return.

Christina Sowerby

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of Cornwall. The cottage was amazing with every comfort you could ask for a real home from home. Wendy was a superb hostess and welcomed us back as if we had never been away for so long. Just the sort of holiday which would suit all ages. Beaches close by, lovely walks, plenty of bird life for those who bird watch. We can recommend this cottage as a wonderful holiday destination. We will certainly be back.

Tracy Jarvis

A lovely cottage, Wendy was so friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. Very clean everywhere, nice comfy bed and we enjoyed watching the tide coming in and out along the river/estuary. The garden was fantastic for the dog as it was completely enclosed and safe. Would highly recommend. Cornwall is just stunning. Robin Cottage is a perfect hideaway.

Sergio Fernandes

A lovely, well presented cottage with amazing views. Fabulous location and the cottage is very clean , comfortable and well equipped. Wendy is a lovely lady and was there to give any information about the surroundings. Our visit to Cornwall has been a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back.

Sarah Hendey

I would not hesitate to recommend Robin Cottage which was immaculate with good quality furnishings, in addition to being very well equipped and everything in as-new condition. The cottage has a beautiful garden.and lovely countryside views. It is situated in a peaceful location ideal for exploring the scenic Roseland Peninsula and visiting the Eden Project/ Lost Gardens of Heligan. The owner is both welcoming and helpful. There is a great pub for meals within a couple of minutes' walk and others within a short drive. We found Robin Cottage to be excellent in every respect.

Jo New

It was a delight to stay in Robin cottage Wendy looked after us extremely well, The situation was peaceful and very relaxing. and we both enjoyed it enormously.

Roger Martin

Robin Cottage provides excellent accommodation and is ideally situated within reach all of the attractive locations of the Roseland Peninsula, be they country walks on footpaths, quiet country lanes, one of many secluded coves or sandy beaches. The stay at Robin Cottage was the first time we had experienced the wonder of the peninsula and we certainly hope to return to Robin Cottage frequently. The immediate surrounding area to the Cottage is peaceful and there is an abundance of wild life.

Linda Hancox

We enjoyed this cottage so much. Everything from location to amenities. We felt at home immediately as everything we needed was there, including a welcoming bottle of wine and pint of milk. The views are amazing and can be seen from many aspects including from ones own garden. The only sounds to be heard are birds and more birds, only interrupted by the very occasional car. The location offered relatively easy access to not only the Roseland Penisula but also places such as Truro ... as long as you like country lanes! Wendy, the owner, lives on site but is very unobtrusive, very friendly and helpful. We plan to return.

Peter Marriott

Outstanding and attractive cottage in beautiful part of Cornwall. Excellent base for exploring Roseland Peninsula with a variety of peaceful coastal walks and pubs. Lovely and helpful owner.

Keith Bashford

A lovely bungalow in immaculate condition which all made for a super holiday. There was everything you need to enhance your comfort. Great views from the patio in the pretty garden. The owner, Wendy Lloyd is a lovely person and most helpful. What a find!

Daphne Warren

Robin Cottage was in a superb location. Extremly clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful garden. Wendy the owner was considerate and very helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

James Macnaughton

We booked quite late so weren't sure if we'd missed the best places so we were over the moon when we arrived to find Robin Cottage. Perfect location for exploring Cornwall, extremely quiet, a lovely garden with BBQ and a well appointed kitchen. Wendy (the owner) gave us some fresh tomatos from her greenhouse and a lovely bottle of wine - both went down very well indeed! The secure off street parking was also very much appreciated as were the fluffy white towels and a few 'essentials' to get us started. If you're looking for a quiet place with the best pub in Cornwall a 2 minute stroll away and all that St Mawes has to offer just 15 mins away in the car then look no further. Highly recommended. James, Polly and Alfie :)

Louise Warren

Wendy was the perfect host, you felt that she was there if you needed but you also had your own wonderful space. it was very clean and stocked with everything you need!

Lisa Tritton

The cottage was lovely, very clean and a excellent location for our stay. The gardens were nice, although I wish the weather was better so we could have used them more. The pub across the road was friendly and nice food.

Jenny Lewis

We had a late booking deal for this beautiful cottage, wonderful location and perfectly equipped. Comfortable and cosy. we both feel very rested.

Kay Ormerod

Cottage (which was a good size) was easy to find from directions and a warm welcome awaited from the owner (and her little jack russell, Jenny). Local pub with good food within walking distance. Plenty of places to visit whether you want beach, country or city. So peaceful with our own "two" patios and garden which was lovely to come back to after going out exploring. Shame we weren't staying for two weeks but hope to visit again one day. Very friendly and helpful owner.

John King

We loved our time in the cottage. The garden was sunny and colourful, filled with most beautiful flowers and looked out across the valley towards rolling hills. There was a second patio on the other side which remained in the shade should things get too hot. The fittings were comprehensive and modern and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the sunroom/dining room enjoying the vista. We were most comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Andrew Tyler

Comfortable cottage in a peaceful location, well equipped with pretty gardens. We enjoyed watching the creek change with the tides and listening to the bird song. We had a very nice meal at the local village pub which is well known for its food. Both the coast and inland Cornwall are within easy reach.

Alan Powell

The cottage has been beautifully refurbished, and is very comfortable. The owner lives next door, and gave us a lovely welcome. The views are lovely, and the garden was great for us and our retriever, Alfie. We were outside at nighttime, and you could hear a pin drop, apart from the occasional owl hooting, it was silent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thankyou.
