Rose da Mar is a superb property with impressive views of St Just Creek and beyond across the waters of the Carrick Roads, where the sun sets creating a perfect environment for evening barbecues and whiling the hours away enjoying the ever-changing vista. The accommodation is immaculately presented, with a spacious lounge and cosy wood-burning stove. There are dozens of fantastic walks on your doorstep, and as a dog-friendly property, even your furry friends are ensured a fabulous holiday.
The harbour village of St Mawes is two miles to the south, and there are some delightful beaches nearby, the whole of the Roseland Peninsula, including a myriad of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, traditional fishing villages and excellent coastal walks are right on your doorstep. At St Just Creek there is a stone beach, boatyard and boat launching point which is a 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away. A visit to the pretty churchyard at St Just should not be missed during your stay. Surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and nestled on the edge of the creek, there has been a place of worship here since the sixth century and there are fewer more peaceful places in the country. The recent addition of Miss V's tea room just above the church is well worth a stop for sustenance, a cream tea or cake as you negotiate the steep hill back up to Rose Da Mar.

There are fully fitted units and appliances, dining table and chairs, trifold doors out onto the patio with stunning views over the Carrick Roads. Easy access to St Mawes and ferries to Falmouth, Place etc and the King Harry ferry to Feock and Trellisick NT gardens.
The Cottage was so comfortable and spacious, bed linen excellent. The view exceptional. It was a holiday of a life time for us for a very special birthday, and we were not disappointed with The Cottage or Area.
Curtains top of stairs and lounge need hanging attention. Grill too high, could be dangerous. Bathroom floor dirty.
What a wonderful place to stay!!!!
An incredible location with a beautiful and well equipped home. Rose de mar has everything you need and more.
We loved the cottage, which had a magnificent distant view of the estuary. The garden is miniscule but pretty, and everything was well cared for. The Lane was a dead end and so was quiet, though the attached neighbours might not be. We had the extravagent and huge treat of the chef on the Roseland
to cook and bring dinner for us
The location was good with views to the creek, and situated in a quiet road. It was a treat to open the bi-fold doors and enjoy sunny days. All the accommodation was clean and spacious and made for a comfortable relaxing week. Thanks to the owners we had a lot of valuable information about the house and area prior to our visit.
Beautiful location, couldn't have asked for more. Cornwall Cottages were great to deal with; easy booking proceedure, super helpful and very quick to respond to any queries. Booking this before a pandemic hit made it all a bit daunting in a 'will we/ won't we be able to go' way but all ran very smoothly and the house was fantastic. Really well presented and a perfect location....what a view! The owners too were fabulous when we had some specific house queries and can't thank them enough for renting us their cottage. We will definitely be back.
