Seagrass is a delightful, ground floor apartment with stunning sea views across Gerrans Bay towards Nare Head and Gull Rock. A small patio to the front of the property provides a fantastic place for your morning cup of coffee and to watch the sun rise across the bay. To the rear is a private gravelled area where you can soak up the afternoon sun. Inside a spacious open plan living area with sea views and a well-equipped kitchen links through to both the main bedroom and a bunk bedroom. This is one of the few properties in the heart of the village with a dedicated parking space.
It is only a 20m walk, to the pretty little harbour where many artists have taken inspiration due to the superb light and a further 50m to the square where there are a number of delightful galleries and the Plume of Feathers public house which serves local ales and good pub food all year round. There is a small beach at low tide and delicious refreshments available during the day from Tatams. Porthcurnick beach at Rosevine, which is dog friendly all year, is just to the east of the village it has beautiful golden sands (at low tide) and is over looked by the increasingly famous Hidden Hut. Before you visit try and get on their social media page and acquire tickets to their special outdoor dining events. The owners of the Hidden Hut have now opened a restaurant in the village itself - Tatams Wood Fired Taverna, located under the Harbour Club - well worth checking it out.
Ground Floor only: Enter into a porch with coat hooks and a small storage cupboard, further door leads into an open plan living / dining and kitchen area. There are fantastic sea views, comfortable sofa and chair, dining table and chairs, fitted kitchen units with appliances. Further doors to; Double bedroom with storage. Bunk bedroom with 3' bunk beds, storage and rear door accessing the private gravelled sun bathing / storage area. Shower room with large walk in shower, WC and hand basin;
Exterior: There is a dedicated parking space in front of the property. To the front of the property is a small patio area with table and chairs and superb views. The rear yard is gravelled and there are two sun loungers, this is a quiet, private sun trap in the afternoon.
Facilities & Services
Seagrass has electric on demand radiators and underfloor heating in the shower room. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge with ice box. There is a washing machine. The sitting room has a digital Smart TV with catch up TV & DVD player. The house has unlimited broadband WiFi. An iron & ironing board and a cot and high chair are also supplied if requested.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is a dedicated parking space in front of the property. Smoking is not permitted. One small / med dog is welcomed at Seagrass at the small additional price of £30 per dog per week, dogs may not be left unattended at the premises.

The first impression of Seagrass is awesome. The view on the Portscatho bay and the atmosphere of the apartment are just what you want when you book a holiday in Cornwall. The village is cosey and the "must sees" of Cornwall are within a reasonable distance. The best are the walks around the village and along the coastline. In the Portscatho store we bought an useful walkingmap which was worth every penny. The only negative point was the cleanliness. Obviousely there had been a hairy dog in the apartment before us and there was no vacuumcleaner available to get rid of the hair. A point that can be improved easily, we think, and make Seagrass the perfect holiday apartment.
Seagrass is an excellent property, ideally situated in Portscatho, with easy access to the local amenities & costal paths. The parking space is a big advantage, as parking in the village can be tricky, although there is a free car park in Gerrans at the top of the hill. We would definitely like to return to the property in future.

We had a wonderful stay at Seagrass apartment in the quaint village of Portscatho. The apartment is compact but entirely suitable for 4 of us. Lovely views from the apartment and close to the local facilities. Ideal location for a family week away. Would happily return again.
Had a great weekend in lovely Portscatho. Great to be able to see the sea from the sofa, convenient if you want to walk to the pub and theres a small shop too. Has its own parking which is essential in Portscatho and a lovely walk around the coast path is just round the corner. Everyone loved the electric armchair. We did find the double bed very firm and feather pillows would have been nicer, but that's probably personal preference. Well priced for the location though.
Seagrass is located just steps from Gearran's Bay with excellent views from the living room window. Every day was a different view of the waves and tides. The condo was spacious and very clean. I would definitely stay there again.
Enjoyed the location but the bed and sofa need replacing.The mattress sloped in the middle and the sofa was sagging so uncomfortable
First time we've stayed here, and it was great. The flat was just what we needed, with everything you need for a week away form home (apart from a towel rail in the bathroom and some hanging hooks on the back of the doors, but they are very small gripes) , and the village of Portscatho is beautiful with a fabulous cove, a really well-stocked shop, cafes and a pub. The view from the flat is stunning, an added bonus We had a fabulous time and would definitely return to this property.
The location close to the sea and harbour was perfect with an easy level walk into the village shop and pub. However, the standard of furnishings was somewhat basic and did not match the usual standard expected or experienced in other self-catering stays in Cornwall. This property could have been awarded 5 stars if the furnishings had been up to standard.
