This is a really lovely apartment overlooking St Mawes Harbour. It is just at the top of the hill but only a five minute walk to the harbour down a steep road. Yes, you have to go up a steep road to get back but there is an alternative walk along the front to the castle with a much less steep incline back to the top, perfect for an evening stroll. The apartment itself is well laid out and has everything you need. There was even a coffee machine with pods provided and a lovely cream tea on arrival. It is beautifully decorated with lots of attractive decorative touches which are lovely. The bed is very comfortable and it's a cosy place to spend a week or so.
A light, airy holiday home with excellent views of St Mawes harbour and bay. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, the living/dining room was comfortable and warm. The bedroom and bathroom were slightly dark, at the back of the house, but everything was provided. A small warning to anyone with mobility issues: this property is on a hill (hence the views) and the front path is at quite an angle. Additional warnings - the stairs up to the living space (all on the first floor) are steep and shallow-treaded and the shower over the bath is tricky to get into and out of, even with a hand rail.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Summers Beach View. The accommodation is utterly faultless. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely week in this wonderful apartment perfect base for walks round StMaws and investigating the Roseland. The accommodation was spotless with everything you need for a holiday and a nice little garden sun trap to relax at the end of the day, hope to return and would highly recommend.
We were very comfortable and the cottage was homely and well equipped. We love walking and there are plenty of beautiful walks without driving very far or at all. It is a very steep walk to get to the water front though if you have problems with walking.
Summer Beach View is an ideal place for a couple. We found everything was very clean and comfortable. Wonderful view being so high up. Lovely sunny front garden again with a great view. Would definitely use again.
The apartment is bijou but had everything you need for a holiday in Cornwall Was very clean and had a seaside feel. Lovely views over the harbour St Mawes is Quite small with lovely pubs and restaurants with great walks near by, However if you have walking difficulties the walk into harbour could be challenging . It is a very steep decent and climbing back up keeps you fit . Would recommend and would go back.
Lovely, one bedroomed accommodation, in a great location. Well equipped with all that is needed for a comfortable stay. Nice touches, like fresh flowers and homemade cream tea for us when we arrived. I only marked a 3 for value for money, this maybe unfair as prices were high across the board due the the COVID, self catering property was in higher demand than usual. I would still recommend summers beach view, you will have a fabulous holiday.
Summers Beach View is a gorgeous property! It was very comfortable and clean, and the decoration is perfect. The best bit for us was the views from the living room and kitchen windows - absolutely incredible!! St Mawes is a lovely location, theres absolutely no need to go abroad when we have beauty like this in the UK.
We felt so at home in this apartment and it had everything we needed. It was lovely to have somewhere to sit out, the garden was beautiful. We loved all the pictures and other art. The walk book was very handy, I did three of them. We appreciated that the apartment hadn't been 'emptied' of such things. St Mawes is a busy little place, we enjoyed the castle and trips on the ferry to Falmouth and Trelissick.
What a fabulous week we had in Summer Beach View - so well equipped and with a super view across the harbour.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and well equipped. The icing on the cake is the spectacular view from the kitchen and lounge windows. The property has on street parking directly outside in a quiet residential cul de sac. There is a very steep climb back up from the harbour but this is more than compensated for by the fantastic views. The owner lives next door and was very welcoming. St Mawes is a lovely place to stay and Summers Beach View did not disappoint.
A great place to stay in a good location. Very well equipped. Good views over Summers Beach. Recommend the kayak rental in the harbour
What a lovely holiday we had at Summers Beach View. The accommodation was perfect, had absolutely everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, high quality furnishing and a beautiful garden to sit out and look at the stunning views. Although we didnt meet the owners they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Yes, its a steep walk down into St Mawes but only very short. St Mawes itself has everything, beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. I would definitely recommend to others .
A much needed break for us both. A beautiful view of the harbour from the living room, a comfy bed, a sunny outside space, a well equipped kitchen - again with that view! There is a real sense of space with great storage and lots of lovely art works. Being able to park the car is very helpful. Warning: a very steep walk up from the harbour!
We had a lovely stay at Summers Beach View. All the instructions for locating it and entry were great. The apartment was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. It was very well equipped and sofas and bed were very comfortable. The small outside seating area was south facing and cushions were provided for the chairs and sun loungers. Lovely views of the sea from the apartment. Parking was on the road outside which was a cul de sac so very little traffic using the road. Summers Beach View is situated just above Grove Hill which is quite a steep but short walk from the centre of St Mawes. The main car park is large and we did not have problems parking at this time of the year. Would definitely return for another stay if visiting St Mawes.
Absolutely loved our stay here, St Mawes is picturesque and the view across the bay from this apartment is beautiful! Its a gorgeous apartment, beachy, characterful and luxurious- we liked it so much we added an extra night on. Its the perfect place to explore the stunning Roseland peninsula from.
We have stayed here 3 times now. Great location, lovely homely feel, comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.
A fabulous stylist property in a wonderful part of Cornwall. Very comfortable and with wonderful views. Highly recommended.
we had a fabulous stay here, it is a lovely apartment and the instant we arrived we knew we would enjoy our stay. It is superbly finished and the lounge and bedroom are very comfortable and warm, there is everything you could possibly want in this apartment, the views over summers beach are fabulous at all times of day.
We couldnt believe our luck when we found what seemed to be the last dog friendly place for 2 in St Mawes. It looked lovely on the photos and it exceeded. Weve stayed in St Mawes 5 times and this would be our first choice for future stays. The ok for customer service is aimed at Cornwalls cottages who I felt bombarded us with COVID emails that I felt could have been written in a friendlier manner. We are all in this together and whilst we understand the necessity and importance of the rules there are less abrupt ways to impart it. The St Agnes village webpage is a good example of friendly COVID customer information.
Our week at Summers Beach View was excellent. The accommodation is absolutely immaculate, and by this I mean REALLY clean, including inside of oven etc. It is a spacious place for two and tastefully decorated and furnished - it was a pleasure to relax and enjoy the beautiful views down to Summers Beach and the sea from the comfort of one of the sofas. All details were accurately described and the location suited us perfectly. Would definitely book again.
We had a lovely week and Summers Beach View was a great holiday apartment. A short (though very steep - good exercise!) walk from the harbour, it has lovely views of the bay. It was nice and quiet and exceptionally clean and well maintained. Jayne said hello at the start and the end and was next door should we need anything but otherwise left us to our privacy. Very well equipped (though a couple of extra mugs would be good) - it pretty much had everything we needed. St Mawes is a lovely little village with several good restaurants/pubs as well as lovely coastal walks (don't miss out on the walk to St Just and the church) and would def recommend.
Perfect in every way. Wonderful views, apartment immaculate, tastefully furnished and well equipped.Garden was perfect for BBQs. We had never been to St Mawes before and loved the location and the walks.
A very comfortable apartment situated about a ten minute walk down to the harbour and a bit longer coming back up the hill! All mod cons in excellent condition as was the apartment itself. Good views of Summers Beach from the sitting room and the garden. We would recommend it to any couple.
We had a fantastic post-lockdown stay at Summer's Beach View. The apartment was immaculate and is decorated beautifully, it did not disappoint. It is also brilliantly well equipped with everything you could need. The garden is stunning and our little dog loved sunbathing on the patio whilst we had breakfast outside looking at the sea. St Mawes is only a few minutes walk away (but yes the hill is as steep as you've heard!). Lots of lovely dog walks and dog friendly beaches near-by; the info emailed from Cornwall cottages we printed and found really useful for this information. Would absolutely recommend Summer's Beach View.
The accomodation consisted of the upper floor of a house in the top part of St Mawes in a quiet cul de sac. There was a pretty garden patio area downstairs with table and chairs for guests to use and a parking spot outside the property. The rooms were quite spacious and decorated to a high standard being adorned with many beautiful paintings and wall hangings. Due to the elevated location, there was a great view of the inlet from both the kitchen and lounge window. It was only a short five minute walk to the seafront with a good selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and small beaches. There are an excellent range of walks to do in the area, some without the need to drive if using the ferries or buses. We loved every minute of our stay in this property; it certainly ranks as one of the best places we've ever stayed, both in terms of comfort and location.
We stayed at Summer Beach in January and loved it so much we went back in March! Comfortable, clean with everything you need. Very well decorated with attention to detail. We love it here and will go back again. Jayne, the owner is great and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended!
Thank you for a lovely stay - the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and a perfect place to retreat back to after long walks and exploring. The apartment had a relatively modern but cosy feel and it was pretty clean when we arrived! Would stay again - super quiet at night too and very peaceful.
Fabulous property, perfect for couples. Well equipped, great attention to detail, lovely décor, spectacular views and in a great location a short 5 minute walk from the centre of St Mawes. Highly recommended.
This apartment was clean and very comfortable and was in a brilliant location, only a short walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Lovely scones and fresh flowers on arrival, which was a real treat. We would definitely stay here again.
We were familiar with the town which is lovely and the apartment was wonderful a real home from home, we had the enclosed garden and parking we needed and it was a short walk into town, although be prepared the walk back up to the apartment was very steep. The apartment had been recently renovated and it was lovely with everything that you needed, we are early birds and a TV to watch whilst snuggled in the comfy bed would have topped everything off. Highly recommended!
What a wonderful place, cannot recommend it enough. Felt so at home, including the dog. Its so peaceful. Yes there is a steep hill, but thats cornwall!!!
Everything was superb, the property, the area and the owner Jane was very welcoming, cream teas left on kitchen tops twice cos we were there for 2 weeks, bedding and our towels changed as well. Jane left us to it, which was nice. We loved it, nice property to live in !! Location beautiful. All in all we would highly recommend this holiday letting. Well done Jane and thank you very much for making our holiday perfect. Claire & John Walton-Carroll and CRYSTAL THE DOG.
Such a lovely apartment with a great view and perfect size for a couple. It was very well equipped if we wanted to stay in and cook and only a 5 minute walk to the shops on the harbour. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
We booked this accommodation based on the photos and location and were not disappointed. The first floor apartment has been very recently refurbished with fresh decor throughout, all the equipment is new and all is finished to a high standard. Jane, the owner, met us on the first day and showed us around the property - she was very friendly and helpful- I had phoned in advance to check the tog on the duvet (sometimes they are too thick for the summer), she had bought a new ultra- thin one just for us! We liked the tiled space at the bottom of the stairs where we could leave our boots, shoes and kayaking stuff . This meant the upstairs was free of our clutter , much more relaxing. It was a hot week but very easy to get a breeze through to keep cool in the evening. On the equipment we used - we connected our own laptop and leads to get iplayer on the TV and couldn't seem to stop the washer /tumbler between washing and tumble drying (to take out more delicate clothing). Perhaps reading the instruction books for both might have helped but hey, we were on holiday. All was comfortable and pleasant- the little outside sitting area was very pleasant to enjoy with a beer /cup of tea after a hot day. Yes, it is a steep hill up and down to the main centre of St Mawes, you can avoid it by going in your car back up to the water tower junction and turning right. There was plenty of off street parking around Buckley's Lane and Pedn- Moran- to let you walk into town around the lovely harbour- but that may change in high season. St Mawes itself was a good centre for walking - you can link up lots of the walks in the green book (under TV). The Place Ferry was surprisingly expensive but allows you to get up to the lighthouse and walk to Portscatho. Carrick Roads (from Loe Beach)and Percuil river were good to kayak. Victory, Rising Sun pubs and St Mawes bakery (great pasties) were good for food and drink. Thanks to Jane for lovely accommodation and nice touches such as the cream tea on our arrival.
Very comfortable with view of St Mawes Bay. Thoughtfully furnished, excellent facilities and spotless. Looking forward to booking again.
The apartment was immaculate Everything you could possibly need or want Beautiful views The Scones and Clotted Cream was a lovely touch. Thanks Jane x
We don't normally go to apartments but this was a great choice. It's not a standard format as it's a house that has been split so the top floor is the holiday let. Everything is well equipped and very homely. Jane, the owner lives next door so she was on hand if we had any questions. St Mawes is a beautiful place and the location of the apartment is perfect with lovely views.
This is a fabulous apartment for two which even has its own garden and patio. Beautifully decorated and everything is brand new. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a nice view of the estuary from the lounge and bedroom. We would definitely stay again. Easy few minutes walk down to the harbour but steep walk back up which might not suit everyone but you can drive down if necessary
