St Mawes is stunning and a lovely place to stay. This house is in an ideal location as long as you can walk up and down the very steep hill to the village. House very clean but worn out in some parts. Sofa’s and beds all very hard. Sofa’s look comfy in photos but impossible to sit on for long as so hard. Integral dishwasher door missing, mismatch of kitchen pans, no baking trays- disappointing quality for the price.

We have been coming to st.Mawes for many years due to having family in the village. Our family has grown so we needed enough room for 5 adults a child and a baby, Trevennan Rock was perfect for this, spacious and clean. Parking is a bonus. Only thing we found different to other properties is there was no information book to inform us of what to do with rubbish etc. Only other thing we were worried about was when we walked in a bottle of bleach had been left on the kitchen table which had left a bleach mark. We had the best holiday that was very much needed after lockdowns etc. Lovely house and would definitely stay again. Only other thing I would say is if you struggle with walking up hills this property may not be for you but the hill wasn't an issue for us. Thank you!

We stayed at the above property for one week at the end of June 2021 it was a wonderfull house to stay in wiv all the home comforts u need whilst on holiday, it is very well maintained and spotlesley clean in a good location in St Mawes just a short walk down to the sea front all b it via a steep hill, but you should expect that in Cornwall. would definatley reccomend this house as a great base to explore the beutifuill County..

The house was a little tried. Problems with electric resulted in many blown light bulbs. Coffee machine not workings on arrival and took until Monday to get replacement and only after a prompt.kitchen cupboards a total mess and needs good clear out and some sort of logic made of the many plates etc! Living room settees were very uncomfortable very lumpy.

Lovely property, clean with great facilities and a well equipped kitchen. The 1:3 hill back up from St Mawes harbour was a daily challenge! Good off street parking for 3 or 4 cars. The only things to bear in mind are the lack of an upstairs bathroom although this was not an issue for us and the outside wooden furniture in the nice secluded courtyard is starting to show its age. Overall a lovely place which I would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday.

Well located property close to harbour. No details on waste collection and bins already full when arrived so by the end of the week lots of household waste bags and bottles left. Very steep hill to harbour which was ok for us but others could struggle. No alternative bedding so duvets were inappropriate in the hot weather. Bedding was duck down and rugs were animal skin so with asthmatic daughter we had to buy new bedding for her and she had to sleep away from the rugs. 2 bedrooms upstairs without bathroom or toilets which is not ideal. Good facilities overall in the property. A bbq would be a useful addition.

I booked this cottage 3 days before the start of my holiday and the booking service was excellent. We were looking for someone to spend some time together as a family after a busy year and this was perfect. The cottage was lovely and welcoming with fresh flowers and beds made up for us. There was plenty of space and we had everything we needed. The living room was on the first floor with lovely views out to sea and it was a wonderful space to relax. The cottage is a few minute outside the harbor but be warned, it is a very steep walk back to the cottage and not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.St Mawes is lovely and we really did have a fabulous time here. The house is great for family holidays with older children and groups of friends but probably not for very young children (0-5 yrs). This is one place I will return to - a real home from home.

A lovely location in a picturesque harbour unfortunately the steep climb from the village/harbour to the property was not mentioned sufficiently in the description, my father is Seventy Eight and although managed the 17% gradient climb a few times, it will be the one memory he will always remember! Garden area is tiny, more of a dining patio area with no garden, swinging hammock was a nice touch at the front of the property. Dining out in St Mawes is limited to the very nice Rising Sun pub, every other restaurant or pub needed at least 24 hours booking!! A nice clean property with good facilities and all beds were comfy. Sea view is a squinted glimpse. Would I book again? Probably not

Trevennen Rock is a beautiful house in a fantastic location but is let down by the fact that it is looking very tired and shabby in places; lots of scuff marks on the doors and skirting boards for example. When we arrived the house wasn't clean - the ensuite bathroom had hairs in the bath and the sink and just take a look in the wardrobe - full of dust and I mean full of dust!! the instructions in the property said that on the last day - "please leave the house as you would like to find it" This is confusing - are we - the guests doing the job of a cleaner to save the company and the owners money, or does a cleaner come in after we have left? If we had left the house as we would have liked to have found it - then I would have been cleaning all day and this isn't acceptable to me when I am on holiday. We cleaned the ensuite bathroom and the kitchen and lounge area with the limited cleaning products provided ( no toilet cleaner or bleach?) We have at least two holidays in the UK each year and invariably we book one of these in Cornwall, and have tended to book with Blue Chip Holidays and Owners Direct and the quality and cleanliness of their properties is exceptional. All in all, a lovely house but disappointing based on the money paid, we won't be booking another Cornwalls cottage holiday if this is the standard of cleanliness provided in your properties.

Trevennan Rock is a great property in great condition, in a great location. Facilities are great although for some reason there was only one small cooking pan in the kitchen which meant that we were rather limited to certain cooking options. This would have not been a problem if we were advised to bring some with us beforehand. Otherwise a great property and location for a short stay.

Found the house modern yer homely .... Only thing we'd suggest they change would be the sofa's as not comfy as they looked like they would be from the pictures ... But lovely location and had sunny lounge with fab views of the sea very homely feel plenty of parking & enclosed drive & garden

Trevennen Rock is in a perfect location for walking down the hill into St Mawes - close enough to walk to the harbour, shops and beaches. Great to have parking spaces. Beautiful large lounge area with great views.

Just what we needed - a beautiful house in an idyllic setting ! Plenty of room for seven people . Only fault we found was that the food cupboard in the kitchen was full with someone else's food etc and we had to put our things on top of hob which looked untidy but it certainly didn't spoil a fantastic holiday. It would be good not to have to take our own towels but again it wouldn't stop us from visiting again. Don't think it's a suitable house for children because of the amount of ornaments everywhere.

The house is in a great position and is very comfortable and clean but there are a few areas that let it down. The crockery was from about 20 different sets and each piece was chipped. The glasses were stained from the dishwasher and so didn't look great. There were only two pans and we were there for Christmas so this was never going to be enough! The utensils were all mixed up and didn't look particularly clean. The final issue was the pillows to the beds. They all smelt as if they had never been cleaned and so we had to cover them in towels. You are asked to strip the beds at the end of your stay which is fair enough, but when we did, all we saw was heavily stained duvets and mattresses. This was not what I wanted to see or paid for. All that said, it is a nice house in a great location and we had a fantastic Christmas and Nee Year but if the above points were addressed, it would be a fantastic house.

Fantastic house and so very near to the harbour at St mawes. The house was extremely comfortable and with in easy reach of the harbour and shops and pubs. The Rising Sun pub was particularly good for food and we wish we could have stayed another week.
