The village of St Just in Roseland is located about 2 miles north of St Mawes. Holiday cottages in St Just in Roseland are all within walking distance of St Mawes. A small village, it has a pretty creek and the quite delightful church and wonderful churchyard. No visit to the Roseland is complete without seeing this peaceful place. Probably the only sub tropical churchyard in the British Isles, it is a beautiful & tranquil place with some unique flora. The creek is home to a boatyard and not much else! Although the beaches are of shingle, you can reach some great sunbathing spots from here with some wonderful views over the water towards Mylor.

From here you can walk into St Mawes via the coast path quite easily. At low tide there are a few hidden shingle beaches to enjoy in peace. The views across to Falmouth & Mylor are most definitely worth it. Heading into St Mawes and you’ll find shops, pubs and restaurants. There’s even a local bakery and butcher shop as well as a chemist. Most importantly lots of places to get a coffee, a pasty and a cream tea!

Nearby, you can explore the D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Bar, which is an excellent place to walk the dogs. The walks around Messack Point on the north side of St Just in Roseland Creek offer some of the finest views across the Carrick Roads.
